Quantum Liquidity Intelligence is a rule-based Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD). It reads market structure on the M15 chart, maps the liquidity that rests above swing highs and below swing lows, and trades the breakout of these levels with pending stop orders in the direction of the trend.

The EA holds one position at a time and manages it on its own. It does not use Grid, Martingale, averaging or recovery lots. Every order is sent with a fixed Stop Loss and Take Profit on the server.

Every result on this page comes from the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester with the model "Every tick based on real ticks" and 100% history quality - real broker ticks with their real, changing spreads. No generated ticks and no "1 minute OHLC" tests are used anywhere on this page or in the screenshots. All tests below use the same strategy settings for the whole period; only the lot setting (and for Aggressive the kill switch) changes. You can repeat every test in your own Strategy Tester.

Backtest Results - XAUUSD M15, 1 January 2022 - 10 October 2026 (real ticks)

- Conservative (default, 0.01 per $1,000), $1,000 start: +315% ($1,000 to $4,151), about 35% per year, profit factor 1.43, maximum drawdown 11%

- Moderate (0.01 per $500), $500 start: +2,124% ($500 to $11,122), about 92% per year, profit factor 1.45, maximum drawdown 26%

- Aggressive (0.01 per $300, kill switch 50%), $300 start: +15,681% ($300 to $47,344), about 189% per year, profit factor 1.45, maximum drawdown 42%

- Fixed 0.01 lot, $300 start: +653% ($300 to $2,258), profit factor 1.41, maximum drawdown 22%

With the default settings every calendar year closed in profit: 2022 +19%, 2023 +7%, 2024 +24%, 2025 +36%, 2026 +93% (2026 to 10 October). Win rate 81%, 1,592 trades, 42 of 58 months in profit.

The auto lot grows with the balance, so most of the profit of the auto-lot settings comes from the last year of the test, and the losses grow in the same way. Higher lot settings raise the return and the drawdown together.

Recommended Risk Settings

Input "Auto lot: 0.01 lot per this balance":

- Conservative (default): 0.01 Lot per $1,000 balance - lowest drawdown (11% in the test)

- Moderate: 0.01 Lot per $500 balance - about 26% drawdown in the test

- Aggressive: 0.01 Lot per $300 balance - also set "Drawdown kill switch" to 50%. The drawdown can go above 40%, and the default 30% kill switch would stop the EA during a deep drawdown.

- Timeframe: M15 (attach the EA to any XAUUSD chart - it switches the chart to M15 automatically)

- Leverage: 1:100 minimum (1:200 - 1:500 recommended)

Key Features

- Liquidity Map: on every new M15 candle the EA marks swing highs (buy-side liquidity) and swing lows (sell-side liquidity) and keeps only the levels that no candle has closed beyond.

- Trend and Strength Filter: the M15 trend (50-period moving average) picks the side, and new orders need an ADX(14) of at least 20. In flat, choppy markets the EA waits.

- Pending Stop Entries: one Buy Stop at the newest buy-side level in an uptrend, or one Sell Stop at the newest sell-side level in a downtrend. The order moves to newer levels automatically, and a level that has been traded is not used again.

- Percent-based Risk Management: the Stop Loss sits at the opposite liquidity level, capped at 0.78% of price; the Take Profit is 1.56% of price - always at least twice the largest allowed stop. Both scale with the gold price.

- Lock-in Trailing Stop: at +0.18% profit the stop jumps into profit (+0.165%) and then follows the price in 0.015% steps - break-even and trailing stop in one.

- Time and Day Filters:

  - Friday Filter: no new orders in the last 6 hours of the week, and an open trade is closed 30 minutes before the weekend close to avoid Monday gaps.

  - Holiday Pause: no new orders from mid-December to mid-January (New Year period) and on US market holidays.

  - Early-Close Days: on US holidays, the day after Thanksgiving and 24 / 31 December the EA takes no new orders and closes an open trade at 16:30 UTC, before the shortened session ends - no position is left open into a closed market.

  - Session Filter: new orders only between 02:00 and 17:00 UTC. The broker time zone (UTC, UTC+2, UTC+3) is detected automatically.

- Account Protection: daily loss limit (no new orders for the rest of the day once it is reached), drawdown kill switch and losing-streak pause - all three are kept after a terminal or VPS restart, and deposits, withdrawals or other EAs on the same account do not trigger them - plus spread filter, free-margin check and stop-loss guard. Pending orders expire on the broker server at 17:00 UTC and are deleted when the EA is removed, so no order is left behind.

- Live Dashboard: a panel on the chart shows what the EA is doing - status, trend and ADX, the target liquidity level and its distance, the active order or trade with its trailing state, results for today / this week / this month / all trades, and the protection state.

- Chart Drawings: liquidity levels and the risk / reward zones of the active order are drawn on the chart in real time (can be switched off).

- Broker Friendly: 2-digit and 3-digit gold quotes, hedging or netting accounts, chart set to M15 automatically, no DLL and no external files.

What's New in Version 1.01

- Safety locks are kept after a restart: the kill switch, the equity peak, the daily loss limit and the losing-streak pause stay in place after a terminal or VPS restart, a timeframe change or an input change. To reset them, remove the EA from the chart and attach it again.

- Daily loss limit: once it is reached, no new orders for the rest of the day.

- Deposits, withdrawals and other EAs on the same account no longer trigger the kill switch or the daily loss limit.

- Pending orders expire on the broker server at 17:00 UTC and are deleted when the EA is removed - no order is left waiting when the terminal or VPS is offline.

- Netting accounts: no new order while another EA or a manual trade holds a position on the symbol.

- The EA switches its chart to M15 automatically.

Inputs

- Lot size: Auto lot (0.01 lot per this balance; 0 = fixed lot), Fixed lot, Maximum lot (0 = no limit).

- Protection: daily loss limit %, drawdown kill switch %, maximum spread, Friday close (minutes). The losing-streak pause is fixed at 8 losses in a row.

- Chart: show drawings on / off.

- General: magic number, broker time offset (99 = automatic).

The strategy settings are fixed at their tested values.

Installation

Attach the Expert Advisor to one XAUUSD chart, set "Auto lot" in the inputs (1000, 500 or 300 for the three risk levels) and make sure Algo Trading is enabled. The EA switches the chart to M15 by itself. If you run other EAs on the same account, give this EA its own magic number. To reset the kill switch, remove the EA from the chart and attach it again.
