GF MACD MA Cross Indicator for MT5
See momentum, trend and reversals in one sub-window, with alerts that tell you when to look.
GF MACD MA Cross builds on a standard MACD (8, 18, 5) and applies three moving averages to the MACD data itself. Instead of watching price and MACD separately, you read momentum shifts directly in the sub-window and get arrows and popups when they happen.
Key Features
- MACD background (8, 18, 5): a familiar momentum view that shows strength building or fading.
- Moving averages on MACD data: fast EMAs track momentum, and the slow LWMAs (15 and 75) show the trend structure.
- Plain cross arrow + popup: a signal when EMA 1 crosses LWMA 15, so you know early when momentum is turning.
- Strong buy / sell signal: a stronger arrow and popup when EMA 1 crosses both LWMA 15 and LWMA 75 on the same bar.
- Strong reversal alert: triggers when the fast lines break out of the LWMA 75 and then retest it. A breakout followed by a retest is a more selective setup than a plain cross.
- ZigZag 48 swing markers: swing highs and lows appear as yellow arrows. The ZigZag line itself stays hidden, so the chart stays clean.
- Alerts on any timeframe: watch the current chart or pick a higher timeframe for bias while you trade a lower one.
Advantages
- Everything in one window: no need to stack several indicators.
- Layered signals: plain cross for early attention, strong signal for conviction, retest reversal for selectivity.
- Clean chart: arrows and alerts only, with no clutter.
- Works on any symbol and timeframe: forex, indices and synthetic instruments.
- Alerts so you don't have to stare at the screen: popups on every signal type.
Input Parameters
MACD Settings
- MACD_Fast (8): fast EMA period of the MACD.
- MACD_Slow (18): slow EMA period of the MACD.
- MACD_Signal (5): signal line period.
Moving Averages (applied to MACD data)
- EMA_Fast (1): the fastest line, tracks MACD almost tick by tick.
- EMA_Mid (10): the medium EMA used for the cross alerts.
- LWMA_Short (15): the short LWMA used for plain cross signals.
- LWMA_Long (75): the long LWMA used for strong signals and breakout + retest reversals.
Swing Detection
- ZigZag_Depth (48): how many bars a swing needs to be confirmed. Higher values give fewer, more significant swings.
- Show_Swing_Arrows : turns the yellow swing high/low arrows on or off.
Alerts
- Alert_Timeframe : use the current chart timeframe or select another.
- Alert_Popup : enables popup alerts.
- Alert_Push / Alert_Email : enables mobile or email notifications, if you've coded those.
Important Notes for Buyers
- Swing arrows are confirmed after the ZigZag depth has passed, so they mark structure rather than early entries.
- Moving-average crosses lag. Use them alongside your own market-structure analysis and risk management.
- This is a trading aid, not a guarantee of profit.
