Entry Guard MT5
A trading discipline tool by BEDESYDA.
Designed to help you avoid entering too early.
Entry Guard MT5 is a trading discipline utility for discretionary traders who want to wait for their planned entry zone before making a trading decision.
It does not provide BUY or SELL signals, execute trades automatically, or decide whether you should enter the market.
You choose the Target. Entry Guard helps you wait for it.
How it works
1. Set your Target
Enter the price level you are waiting for and press SET. Once set, the Target is locked until you cancel the current setup.
2. Wait for the Target Zone
Entry Guard monitors the selected reference price against your Target Zone.
When price reaches the zone, the tool moves from WAITING to CHECK and can notify you according to your notification settings.
3. Review your conditions
Before proceeding, review the enabled checklist items:
- Higher-timeframe direction/context reviewed
- My entry conditions are met
- Stop-loss level is defined
- Risk/reward has been reviewed
Press ALL CHECKED only after reviewing the enabled items.
4. Make your own decision
After confirmation, Entry Guard displays READY.
READY is not a trading signal. You decide whether to trade or stay out.
If price leaves the Target Zone, READY is cleared and the tool returns to WAITING.

Health status
Entry Guard monitors conditions relevant to its price-monitoring workflow.
Health states include:
- NORMAL
- NO CONNECTION
- STALE PRICE
- MARKET CLOSED
- STATUS UNKNOWN
When monitoring conditions are not suitable, Entry Guard suspends normal Target monitoring and does not automatically confirm a READY state.
What Entry Guard does not do
Entry Guard does not:
- Place, modify or close trades
- Disable MetaTrader's standard order functions
- Provide BUY or SELL signals
- Predict market direction
- Analyze whether a trade will be profitable
- Automatically approve an entry
- Replace your trading strategy or risk management
Entry Guard is designed to support your trading process, not to make trading decisions for you.
Basic workflow
SET → WAITING → CHECK → ALL CHECKED → READY
To change a committed Target, cancel the current setup and set a new Target.
After READY, use NEW SET when you want to prepare another setup.
