TIVALI is a trading Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 built around two independent trading engines operating inside one system.
Each engine uses its own entry logic, position management, and basket management model.
Both engines are also connected through a common portfolio coordinator that controls simultaneous grid development and helps reduce excessive risk concentration.
By default, TIVALI is configured for:
Engine A — NZDCAD M15
Engine B — GBPUSD H1
The user can independently select the trading symbol and main timeframe for each engine.
Dual Trading Engine Architecture
TIVALI contains two separate trading algorithms:
Engine A
Engine B
They operate independently and can manage their own trading cycles at the same time.
One engine may already be managing an open basket while the other continues analyzing its own market and looking for new trading opportunities.
At the same time, the Portfolio Coordinator controls the combined exposure of both systems.
Engine A
Engine A uses its own first-entry logic and multi-level basket management.
The primary configuration used during development:
Symbol: NZDCAD
Timeframe: M15
After the first entry, Engine A automatically manages the trading cycle:
- calculates additional position levels;
- manages trading volume;
- controls grid depth;
- calculates the basket exit level;
- adapts Take Profit according to grid depth.
BUY and SELL can operate independently.
Engine B
Engine B uses a separate trading model and is not a copy of Engine A.
Primary configuration:
Symbol: GBPUSD
Timeframe: H1
The first entry is generated by a proprietary multi-stage market-state analysis system.
After opening a position, Engine B automatically manages:
- further grid development;
- subsequent trade volume;
- Basket Target;
- basket exit;
- management of a single profitable position.
The two engines therefore differ not only by symbol and timeframe, but also by their internal decision-making logic.
Proprietary Entry Logic
Both engines use their own internal first-entry logic.
Before opening a new trading cycle, the signal passes additional market-condition checks.
When increased risk is detected, TIVALI may skip the entry and wait for a more suitable market situation.
Some internal protection mechanisms are specifically calibrated for the default configuration:
Engine A — NZDCAD M15
Engine B — GBPUSD H1
When another symbol or timeframe is selected, certain calibration-specific protection filters may automatically deactivate while the main trading algorithm continues to operate.
Grid and Basket Management
If price continues to move against the initial position, each engine may open additional positions according to its own grid logic.
All positions belonging to one trading cycle are managed as a single basket.
The system takes into account:
- grid depth;
- total trading volume;
- average basket price;
- current profit or loss;
- required price retracement.
Engine A also uses different Take Profit targets depending on grid depth.
Shallow baskets may target higher profit, while deeper grids require a smaller retracement to complete the cycle.
Winner Extension
Engine B includes a dedicated Winner Extension mechanism.
If a single position develops favorably, the system may allow the move to continue instead of closing immediately under the standard exit scenario.
If market conditions change, the position returns to normal Engine B management.
Deep Grid Coordination
One of TIVALI’s key features is Deep Grid Coordination.
If one basket begins developing a deep grid, the system limits the ability of the second engine to simultaneously increase its exposure to the same level.
This helps control:
- total trading volume;
- used margin;
- simultaneous drawdown;
- risk concentration.
The user can configure:
Deep Basket Starts at Position — the position number at which a basket is considered deep.
Maximum Positions in Other Baskets — the maximum number of positions allowed in other baskets while a deep basket is active.
Default configuration:
Deep Basket Starts at Position = 4
Maximum Positions in Other Baskets = 3
Flexible Symbol and Timeframe Selection
For each engine, the user can independently select:
Engine A
- Trading Pair;
- Signal Timeframe.
Engine B
- Trading Pair;
- Signal Timeframe.
Default settings:
Engine A — NZDCAD M15
Engine B — GBPUSD H1
This allows TIVALI to be researched and optimized for other currency pairs and timeframes.
Other configurations require separate testing and parameter adjustment.
Monetary Loss Protection
Both engines include an optional Monetary Loss function.
It is disabled by default because the standard TIVALI configuration was developed and tested without forced monetary basket limits.
When enabled, the user can define the maximum permitted monetary loss for a trading cycle.
When the specified value is reached, the system initiates closure of the corresponding basket.

TIVALI allows the user to configure:
- trading symbol for each engine;
- Signal Timeframe for each engine;
- BUY and SELL trading;
- initial trading volume;
- grid parameters;
- maximum grid depth;
- subsequent lot parameters;
- Take Profit and Basket Target;

- additional trading-management parameters.
All visible user settings are directly connected to the trading logic of the Expert Advisor.

The main development and historical testing of TIVALI were performed using:
Engine A — NZDCAD M15

These settings represent the standard configuration of the Expert Advisor.
When using other currency pairs, it is recommended to separately test:
- initial trading volume;
- distance between positions;
- maximum grid depth;
- subsequent lot parameters;
- Take Profit / Basket Target;
- margin requirements;
- maximum historical drawdown.
Important
TIVALI uses grid mechanics with the possibility of increasing total trading exposure as a trading cycle develops.
The most difficult market conditions are prolonged directional movements without sufficient corrections.
Under such conditions, the following may increase:
- number of open positions;
- total trading volume;
- used margin;
- floating drawdown;
- basket duration.
Deep Grid Coordination and internal protection mechanisms are designed to reduce risk, but they cannot eliminate market risk completely.
Particular attention should be paid when changing the initial lot size, volume progression parameters, grid distance, maximum number of positions, and Deep Grid Coordination settings.
Before using TIVALI on a real account, it is recommended to test the Expert Advisor in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester and on a demo account, and to select a trading volume appropriate for the account size and acceptable risk level.
Historical results and backtesting results do not guarantee similar performance in the future.
