Ospe Gold Momentum Recovery is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor designed for XAUUSD traders who use hedging accounts. It combines directional momentum filtering, pending-order breakout entries, alternating recovery positions and basket-level exits.
Important strategy disclosure
This Expert Advisor uses progressive position sizing during recovery. Each new recovery layer can be larger than the previous layer according to the Lot Multiplier input. This structure can create substantial exposure and drawdown when price repeatedly crosses the recovery zone. It is not suitable for every trader or account.
How entries are selected
The first layer is filtered using the Average Directional Index and its directional lines:
- The default analysis timeframe is M1.
- The default period is 14.
- A momentum session becomes active when the configured conditions are met.
- The session remains active while ADX, +DI or -DI is at or above the minimum value.
- +DI above -DI selects the buy direction.
- -DI above +DI selects the sell direction.
The momentum filter applies only to the first layer of a new basket. Once a basket is active, the recovery engine remains responsible for maintaining the required alternating position sequence.
Recovery structure
After the first position opens, the Expert Advisor prepares the opposite recovery layer. Each subsequent layer alternates between buy and sell. The distance between the active recovery boundaries can contract after each triggered layer using the Opposite Limit Multiplier.
The lot sequence is calculated from:
Initial Lot x Lot Multiplier^(Layer - 1)
Maximum Layers, Maximum Lot and Maximum Basket Lots can be used to limit exposure. Reaching a limit does not guarantee that an open basket will recover.
Basket management
The Expert Advisor provides:
- Fixed basket take profit
- Optional basket profit trailing
- Account-currency hard basket stop
- Percentage cycle drawdown limit
- Maximum individual layer volume
- Maximum total basket volume
- Emergency margin-level exit
- New-cycle spread filter
Dynamic recovery zone
The recovery distance can be calculated from ATR. The default configuration uses ATR on M15. Optional minimum and maximum zone clamps are available in price units.
Sequence and execution protection
The internal sequence guardian checks the expected layer direction and volume. The recovery watchdog monitors missing pending orders and can restore the required recovery order after fast market movement. Execution still depends on broker conditions, available margin, spread, slippage and market liquidity.

Installation
1. Install the product through the MetaTrader 5 Market.
2. Open an XAUUSD chart.
3. Confirm that the trading account uses hedging mode.
4. Enable Algo Trading.
5. Attach the Expert Advisor to one chart.
6. Use a unique Magic Number and Instance ID if running more than one copy.
7. Test the selected settings in the Strategy Tester and on a demo account before live use.
