SharkZ WOW runs the same engine as SharkZ Gold EA, tuned for the M1 chart and a very different trade shape. Where the Gold EA aims for a measured $25 target against a $15 stop, WOW takes a small stop, lets the target sit far out of the way, and hands the exit almost entirely to a tight trailing stop.
The rule that opens a trade is unchanged and just as plain: a candle must close across a smoothed EMA ribbon spine, and the candle itself must have closed in that direction. Nothing else opens a position.
No martingale. No grid. No averaging down. No hidden recovery logic. One signal, one position, one stop.
How it works
The signal line. A double-smoothed exponential average of each bar's midpoint — EMA(EMA(hl2, 60), 6) . The second pass is what separates it from a raw EMA: it rounds off the small pullbacks that would otherwise fire a signal every time price brushed the line. On M1 that second pass matters more, not less, because M1 noise is exactly what a single EMA cannot absorb.
Entry. A long is taken when a bullish candle closes above the line having been at or below it on the previous close. A short is the mirror image. Signals are read once per closed bar, never from a forming one, so a level touched intrabar and rejected produces nothing.
Exit. Three ways out, and on this configuration one of them does nearly all the work:
- Stop loss — 2000 points, placed with the order, active from the first tick.
- Trailing stop — arms once the trade is 1000 points ahead, then follows just 10 points behind the best price reached. This is the exit that actually closes most trades.
- Take profit — 20000 points. Deliberately far out. It is a ceiling for a runaway move, not a destination the average trade is expected to reach.
The trailing stop can only ever improve the exit. It never widens the original risk.
What that shape means in practice
This is worth being blunt about, because the raw numbers read as a 10:1 reward-to-risk trade and that is not how it behaves.
The trail arms at +1000 points and then sits only 10 points under price. From that moment, a pullback of a tenth of a dollar closes the trade. So the realistic outcome of a winning trade is a little under +1000 points, not +20000 — the large target only pays out on a move that never once retraces by ten points, which is rare on gold.
Read it as roughly a 1000-point gain against a 2000-point risk. That is a configuration that needs to win clearly more often than it loses to come out ahead, which is exactly the trade-off you take in exchange for banking a profit the instant momentum stalls. It is not a trend-riding setup; it is a momentum-grab setup with a runaway lottery ticket attached.
If you want it to ride trends instead, widen the trail distance. That single setting changes the character of the whole EA more than any other.
Requirements
- Symbol: XAUUSD (or your broker's gold equivalent)
- Timeframe: M1
- Account: hedging or netting, ECN or standard
- Low spread matters here. Targeting around 1000 points a trade, a wide or spiking spread eats a visible share of every win. This configuration is far more spread-sensitive than the M5 one.
- VPS strongly recommended — the trail follows 10 points behind price and updates on every tick. A disconnected terminal is not managing this configuration at all.
Check your symbol's digits before running. On a 2-digit gold symbol one point is 0.01, and the settings above mean TP $200.00 / SL $20.00 / trail $0.10. If your broker quotes gold to 3 digits, one point is 0.001 — multiply every point setting by 10 or every distance will be a tenth of its intended size.
Running it alongside SharkZ Gold EA
Both can share an account. SharkZ WOW carries its own magic number, so each EA manages only its own positions and neither will trail or close the other's trades.
They are the same engine, so they will not diversify each other — if you run both, size them as one strategy on two timeframes, not as two independent systems.
Before you run it live
The settings above are the configuration this build ships with, not a result proven on your account. Spread, commission and gold's tick value differ enough between brokers that the same numbers behave differently on different accounts — and on a configuration this tight, spread differences alone can decide the outcome.
Run it on your own broker's data in the Strategy Tester first, then on a demo account, and size it from there. Two settings deserve a decision before you go live:
- Trail distance, because it defines what a winning trade is worth.
- Maximum trades open at once, because at the default of ten, ten simultaneous positions means ten times the per-trade risk exposed at once.
Risk
Trading gold with leverage can lose more than you deposit. This EA does not predict the market — it applies one rule consistently and manages the exit. Past behaviour in a backtest, on any settings, is not a forecast of future results. Use money you can afford to lose, and never run untested settings on a funded account.
