Gold News OCO Assistant MT5
Gold News OCO Assistant is a manual pending-order utility for traders who plan their own volatility or news setup and need a controlled way to place and manage a paired Buy Stop and Sell Stop. It is designed primarily around gold workflows but does not restrict the trading symbol or account type.
The utility does not forecast the news result. It handles order placement, broker validation, paired OCO cancellation, and recovery after a terminal restart.
How it works
- Attach the utility to the chart you intend to trade.
- Select manual-distance or completed-range placement.
- Review lot, entry distance, stop loss, take profit, and safety inputs.
- Click Analyze and Place Now.
- The utility validates both pending requests before sending them.
- After one side fills, only its paired opposite pending order is cancelled.

Input guide
- Placement Mode: manual distance from the current quote or a range made from 1–6 completed candles.
- Manual Distance: price distance used by manual mode.
- Base/Range/Spread Buffers: outward clearance added by technical-range mode.
- Maximum Spread and Maximum Tick Age: optional execution filters; zero disables each check.
- Minimum/Maximum Range and Boundary Balance: reject unsuitable completed ranges.
- Psychological Step/Clearance: optional clearance from round-price levels; step zero disables it.
- Fixed Lot, Stop Loss, Take Profit, and Minimum Reward Risk: per-click exposure and geometry controls.
- Maximum Active Pairs: caps simultaneous managed pairs; default is one.
- Magic Number: must be greater than zero so EA orders remain isolated from manual trading.
- Deviation Points: non-negative execution tolerance in broker points.
Important behavior
If the first pending order is accepted but the second is rejected, the utility attempts to remove the first order immediately. Both pending legs otherwise remain active until a confirmed fill; there is no time expiry. A confirmed fill triggers cancellation of only the paired opposite leg.
The utility identifies its orders using symbol, magic number, ticket, and compact pair comment. Manual price/SL/TP edits retain identity while the original ticket and comment remain intact. A manually deleted and recreated order is not automatically part of the original pair.
Before live use
Test the Market demo in Strategy Tester and then on a demo account with your broker. Contract specifications, spreads, execution, stop levels, gaps, and price scales differ. Gold-oriented defaults must be adjusted for other instruments.
News trading can produce slippage, gaps, rejected requests, or fills on both sides. OCO logic reduces operational work but cannot remove these risks. This utility makes no profit, fill, or performance guarantee.
