Quantaro Mean Reversion Pro
Quantaro Mean Reversion Pro is a low-frequency Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 based on trend identification and structural mean-reversion conditions.
The EA is primarily designed for GBPAUD on the H1 timeframe. It can also operate on AUDCAD, EURAUD, AUDJPY and EURNZD, although results may vary depending on the symbol, broker and market conditions.
The strategy is selective and does not attempt to trade continuously. During the historical test presented below, the system generated 454 trades over approximately 7.5 years.
Strategy
Quantaro combines trend identification with structural mean-reversion entries. The trend component evaluates the broader market context, while the mean-reversion component searches for specific price conditions that may provide an entry opportunity.
The EA does not use martingale, grid trading or averaging down. Losing positions are not progressively increased, and each trade is protected by a hard Stop Loss.

GBPAUD produced the best results during the testing performed for this product. The additional supported symbols should be tested independently before being used with real funds.
Historical test
The primary test covers approximately 7.5 years from 2019 to 2026 and was performed using MetaTrader 5 real tick data with 100% available historical data quality.
Initial balance: $100,000
Total net profit: $251,166.90
Profit factor: 1.65
Recovery factor: 8.07
Sharpe ratio: 2.47
Total trades: 454
Win rate: 68.72%
Maximum equity drawdown: 14.23%
Maximum drawdown amount: $31,137.19
The results above are historical test results and do not guarantee future performance. Live results can differ because of spreads, commissions, swaps, slippage, execution conditions, liquidity and differences between brokers.
Risk management
The primary historical test uses 4% risk per trade.
Users should select the risk level according to their own account size, drawdown tolerance and trading objectives.
For smaller accounts, Fixed Lot Size can be used instead of Percent Risk per Trade. As an example, 0.20 lots per $1,000 of account balance can be used as a starting configuration. Fixed lot sizing should be reviewed as the account balance changes.
Higher risk settings can produce substantially larger drawdowns. A setting of 10% to 15% risk per trade is considered aggressive and should only be used by experienced traders who understand the associated risks.
Stop Loss and spread protection
Every trade is protected by a hard Stop Loss.
The EA also includes a maximum spread filter. The default MaxSpreadPoints value is 300. When the spread exceeds the configured limit, the EA can prevent new entries.
This protection is intended to reduce entries during periods of unusually high spreads. It cannot eliminate slippage, liquidity problems, execution delays or sudden market movements.
Monte Carlo analysis
The historical trade sequence was analyzed using 10,000 Monte Carlo runs in Quant Analyzer.
Under the tested parameters, no account blowout was observed during the 10,000 simulations.
The 95% confidence drawdown threshold was 14.75%.
Monte Carlo analysis is a statistical analysis of the historical trade sequence. It does not guarantee that future trading will have the same drawdown or performance characteristics.
Recommended settings
For users who want to reproduce the primary historical test, the following configuration was used:
Symbol: GBPAUD
Timeframe: H1
Initial balance: $100,000
Risk per trade: 4%
Users should test the EA with their own broker and account conditions before increasing risk.
Prop firm accounts
Quantaro can be used on compatible prop firm accounts, subject to the rules of the individual firm.
For a $100,000 account, 1% risk per trade is a conservative starting configuration. Users must independently verify the prop firm's rules regarding drawdown, overnight positions, news trading, maximum exposure and automated trading.
Broker and VPS
A reputable broker with stable execution and competitive spreads is recommended. Raw Spread or ECN-style accounts may be suitable depending on the broker.
A VPS is recommended for continuous MetaTrader 5 operation and stable connectivity.
Important information
Quantaro is designed as a low-frequency trading system. It may remain inactive for several days or weeks when market conditions do not meet its entry criteria.
Do not change the EA parameters unless you understand their purpose. The default parameters are intended to provide the configuration used for the primary historical test.
The EA cannot guarantee profits or prevent losses. Past performance, backtests and statistical analysis should not be considered a guarantee of future results.
Always perform your own testing and start with an appropriate risk level before using the EA with real funds.
