Session Box Breakout EA is a fully automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4. It detects the high and low of a freely definable trading session and can automatically open trades after a confirmed candle-close breakout.

The session time can be configured freely. Time ranges that cross midnight, for example 23:00 to 01:00 broker time, are supported.

Main Features

Session Settings

Start and end time can be set in hours and minutes. Time ranges that cross midnight are detected and calculated automatically.

Lot Size Modes

The EA supports fixed lot, balance-based lot size, percent risk and money risk. Risk-based modes calculate the lot size using the stop loss distance and tick value. A margin check is performed before sending an order.

Take Profit and Stop Loss

Take Profit and Stop Loss can be calculated by range multiplier, percentage of entry price or fixed point distance. The methods for Take Profit and Stop Loss can be configured independently.

Daily Loss Limit

The daily loss calculation includes closed deals, commission, swap and the current floating P/L. The reference value is the account balance at the start of the trading day.

ATR Filter

Optional volatility filter with a separate timeframe. This filter can help reduce entries during very quiet market conditions.

EMA Trend Filter

Long trades can be limited to prices above the EMA. Short trades can be limited to prices below the EMA. Timeframe and period are adjustable.

Break-Even and Trailing Stop

The stop loss can be adjusted automatically after a defined trigger. This function can be configured in points or percentage.

Additional Features

Spread filter, daily trade limit, weekday filter, Friday cutoff, automatic daily close, chart status display and debug mode.

Recommended Use

All times are based on broker server time. The EA can be tested on different symbols, timeframes and broker conditions. Users should adjust all settings according to their own risk profile and trading environment.
