Trading Approach
Gold Trend Master H4 combines two complementary strategies into a single decision engine:
Primary Setup — Pullback Entry: Detects high-probability pullback entries when price retraces to a key moving average during an established uptrend.
Secondary Setup — Breakout Entry: Captures momentum continuation when price breaks recent structural highs in trending conditions.
Both setups are filtered by:
- Daily trend regime filter (long-term direction confirmation)
- 200-period moving average slope filter (regime detection)
- Volatility filter (ATR-based)
- Strength filter (ADX-based)
- Session timing filter (avoids low-quality market hours)
Risk Management
- Sequential position management: Breakeven move at 1.5x ATR, followed by ATR-based trailing stop at 3x ATR
- Dynamic position sizing: Volatility-targeted lot calculation using ATR
- Universal broker compatibility: Uses tick value calculations for accurate sizing across any broker
