Overview
Power Candle Scalper is an automated Expert Advisor designed for MetaTrader 5, specifically optimized for trading XAUUSD on the M15 timeframe.
The system identifies high-quality price movements by analyzing candle strength, trend direction, and momentum conditions. It is designed for structured intraday trading during high-liquidity market sessions.
The EA operates only when predefined technical conditions are met, avoiding random or low-quality entries.
Trading Concept
The strategy is based on the identification of strong momentum candles (“Power Candles”).
A candle is considered valid when it meets the following conditions:
- Candle body represents a significant portion of total range
- Wick size remains within acceptable limits
- Candle size exceeds a minimum volatility threshold (ATR-based confirmation)
Only confirmed closed candles are used for decision-making. No entries are made on incomplete candles.
Entry Conditions
A trade is executed only when all conditions are satisfied:
- Valid Power Candle confirmation
- Trend filter using EMA 50 and EMA 200
- Buy only when price is above both EMAs
- Sell only when price is below both EMAs
- RSI confirmation for momentum validation
- Spread below maximum allowed threshold
- Active trading session enabled
- No limit violations on open positions
Trade Management
The EA includes automated trade management:
- Stop Loss based on candle structure with ATR buffer
- Take Profit levels:
- TP1 at 1:1 risk-reward
- TP2 at 1:2 risk-reward
- Break-even activation after TP1
- Optional trailing stop after partial profit
- Dynamic position adjustment based on market movement
Risk Management
- Configurable risk per trade (percentage-based)
- Maximum stop loss distance limit
- Maximum number of simultaneous trades

Session Filter
The system trades only during high-liquidity sessions:
