Risk Hunter does not use martingale position sizing. It does not use grid trading. It does not average down losing positions. Every trade uses a fixed ATR-based lot size calculated at entry — if the trade loses, it loses that amount and moves on. There is no compounding of losing positions, no doubling down, and no hidden exposure that grows silently in the background.
On the question of curve-fitting — the weekly optimizer is specifically designed to prevent it. Here is how:
Every optimization cycle requires a minimum number of trades to qualify. Parameter sets that do not generate enough trading activity during the training period are automatically disqualified, regardless of their profit figures. This eliminates configurations that got lucky on a handful of trades and would fail in live conditions.
The validation stage tests each candidate against market data it has never been trained on. A parameter set that performs well in training but fails in validation is rejected. Only configurations that demonstrate consistent behavior across both periods advance to the final calibration stage.
The result is a system that adapts to current market conditions without memorizing them. It is the difference between a strategy that learned the market and a strategy that learned a dataset.

HOW IT WORKS
Risk Hunter uses EMA trend detection combined with RSI momentum confirmation to identify high-probability entries on XAUUSD M5. Every trade uses ATR-based dynamic position sizing, automatic breakeven management, and trailing stop protection.
What makes Risk Hunter different is the weekly self-optimization engine. Every Friday after market close, the EA runs a proprietary 4-stage internal optimization process:
Stage 1 - Broad Search: Scans the parameter space across recent market data to identify high-performing candidate configurations.
Stage 2 - Refinement: Narrows the field to the top candidates and stress-tests them against additional market conditions.
Stage 3 - Validation: Each candidate is validated against independent market periods to eliminate curve-fitting and confirm real-world robustness.
Stage 4 - Final Calibration: The winning parameters are blended and locked in for the coming week, calibrated to your specific broker conditions.
The entire process runs automatically with no user input required. When you open the platform on Monday, the EA is already configured for the week ahead.
Abnormal volatility days are automatically excluded from all stages of the training data, ensuring the optimizer never calibrates to black swan events or outlier market conditions.
After the initial optimization completes, the EA's parameters will differ from the static defaults shown in the backtest results. This is by design — the optimizer calibrates to your specific broker and current market conditions.
ANTI-CLUSTERING TECHNOLOGY
Risk Hunter includes a built-in anti-clustering system that staggers trade execution timing across instances. This prevents multiple accounts running the same EA from hitting the broker at the exact same millisecond — reducing slippage, avoiding artificial price impact, and protecting execution quality. The EA also tracks real-time slippage across your last 10 trades and displays the running average on the dashboard. This is a feature you will not find in most retail EAs and it matters in live trading.
DUAL-LAYER NEWS PROTECTION
The primary news filter uses the MT5 economic calendar to detect and avoid high-impact events. If the calendar feed fails or returns no data, a hardcoded time-pattern backup system automatically activates — ensuring trading is never exposed to major market-moving events regardless of data feed status. Trading never relies on a single point of failure.
SYSTEM RESILIENCE
Risk Hunter is built to stay running. The EA monitors broker connection in real time and pauses trading automatically during disconnections or frozen data feeds. If indicators fail to return valid data, the EA attempts automatic recovery rather than stopping silently. Daily state — including trade count, equity, and drawdown — is saved to disk so the EA resumes correctly after any MT5 restart. All positions are automatically closed at end of session to prevent overnight exposure.

BROKER COMPATIBILITY
Risk Hunter is compatible with most brokers worldwide that offer XAUUSD on MetaTrader 5. The setup wizard automatically detects your broker's timezone including automatic DST adjustment, spread characteristics, and commission structure on first launch and configures the EA accordingly. No manual broker configuration is required. Settings are saved per account number, so multiple accounts run independently with their own configurations.
IMPORTANT - ABOUT BACKTESTS
Static backtests using fixed default parameters are not representative of this EA's live performance and should not be used as the primary evaluation criteria.
Risk Hunter's core value is its weekly adaptive optimization engine. By definition, a static backtest with fixed parameters cannot simulate an EA that changes its own parameters every week. What the backtest does demonstrate is the EA's mechanical stability, consistent trade activity across all market sessions, disciplined risk management, and the absence of account-blowing behavior.
Professional traders understand this distinction. The backtest shows the EA works. Live trading with the optimizer running shows the EA adapts.
SETUP
A first-time setup wizard walks you through broker configuration, timezone detection, commission setup, and initial optimization on first launch. The EA will not trade until setup is complete. This is intentional — Risk Hunter does not cut corners.
