SDL Pro is a trend indicator for MetaTrader. It is built on the Slope Direction Line, a smoothed Hull moving average that follows price with reduced lag. The line changes color with the direction of the trend, so the current market direction is easy to read on the chart.

The indicator combines several tools in one main chart window, so you do not need to load separate indicators for trend, multi-timeframe view and momentum.

Trend line with color by direction The Slope Direction Line is drawn on the price chart. It uses one color when the slope is rising, a second color when the slope is falling, and an optional neutral color for flat or ranging conditions. A soft glow can be enabled under the line to make the trend easier to see on any chart background.

Non-repaint signals Trend changes are confirmed on the close of the bar. An optional confirmation filter requires the new direction to hold for a chosen number of bars before a trend change is reported. This helps the indicator react less to short, temporary moves.

Multi-timeframe dashboard A compact panel shows the Slope Direction Line trend for several timeframes at the same time, from M1 to D1. Each row shows the current direction for that timeframe, which lets you compare the lower and higher timeframe trend from a single chart.

Slope momentum histogram The panel also includes a small histogram that shows the slope, or speed, of the line. It uses four colors: a strong color when the trend is accelerating and a faded color when the trend is slowing down. A fading histogram can be read as an early sign that the current move is losing strength.

Alerts The indicator can notify you when the trend direction changes. Alerts are available as a screen popup, a push notification to the MetaTrader mobile app, an email, and a sound. Alerts follow the same non-repaint rule as the signals.

How traders use it Many traders follow the color of the line for the main trend, use the multi-timeframe panel to check that the higher timeframe agrees, and watch the momentum histogram for a slowdown before the line changes color. The indicator can be used for trend following, pullback entries and as a trend filter for other methods, on any style from scalping to swing trading.

Notes The indicator works on all symbols and all timeframes offered by your broker, including forex, indices, metals and crypto. The Slope Direction Line is a smoothing tool, so values on the current open bar can still adjust while the bar is forming; confirmed trend changes are reported on closed bars.
