Automated trading usually fails quietly: the PC sleeps, the terminal loses connection, algo trading is switched off by a profile change, or an EA is removed from its chart. BotWatchdog watches for this and sends a push notification to your phone. It places no trades.

Alerts
- broker connection lost / restored
- algo trading switched off / on
- a watched EA is missing from every chart (comma list of names)
- the terminal is logged into a different account
- an open position has had no stop-loss for N minutes
- equity is a set % below the day's starting balance
- margin level is below a set %
- daily "all OK" heartbeat at a set hour: if it does not arrive, the PC or terminal is down
- a final alert if BotWatchdog itself is removed
Setup: Tools > Options > Notifications: enable push notifications and enter the MetaQuotes ID from your MetaTrader mobile app. Attach BotWatchdog to any one chart in the terminal that runs your EAs.
Inputs: WatchBots, ExpectedLogin, HeartbeatHour, CheckSeconds, NoStopMinutes, DailyLossPct, MinMarginLevel, AlsoPopupAlert.
SpreadClock - your broker's spread by hour and weekday from real ticks
Reads real tick history and reports average, median and 95th-percentile spread for every server hour and weekday, plus the cost in % of price.
Daily P/L by Magic Number - per-EA profit table for today, week and month
On-chart table that shows how much each Expert Advisor (magic number) made or lost today, this week and this month, with closed and floating profit, number of closed trades today and the intraday drawdown. Manual trades (magic 0) get their own row and a TOTAL row sums the whole account. MT5 only shows one account-wide balance, so when several EAs trade together you cannot see which one is carrying the day or bleeding. Give your magic numbers readable names ("1001=Breakout;1002=Grid"), choose the corner and theme, and decide whether floating profit is included. Read-only: it never opens, modifies or closes a trade, and it works in the Strategy Tester too (it reads the tester's own deals), so you can try it before using it on a demo or live account. No DLLs, no web requests.
SessionEdgeTester - does a time-of-day rule beat spread and swap?
Tests "buy at hour X, exit Y hours later" on your broker's own history after spread, commission and swap, with an out-of-sample split, weekday/year breakdown and an all-hours baseline.
