The number of brokers offering MetaTrader 5 to their clients is growing on weekly basis. Two months ago, we reported that adding the hedging function to the platform has boosted its popularity significantly. A number of major brokers, including Alpari and RoboForex, have switched to MetaTrader 5. They were recently followed by ForexTime (FXTM), Swissquote, FIBO, FBS and PROFIT Group. Many other financial institutions are actively testing the platform and preparing to join them.

The latest MetaTrader 4 for iPhone/iPad features a completely new design of messages. MQL5.community messages and push notifications from the desktop platform are displayed as chats similar to those used in popular messaging apps.
In addition, it is now possible to switch to any of the 22 available languages straight from the platform. Specify your preferred language in the settings without changing your device language.

We would also like to see the following solved:
1. In addition to opening multiple chart windows, we want to see a multi-window that entails opening MT4 side by
side with other applications on the device. That is a more useful multi-window. It will enable traders open
news sites side by side with MT4 to trade the news faster.
2. Alert when price hits a particular price level. The alert can be in the form of email, SMS, etc. Not just price,
but also indicator levels. To me it is useless having alert on desktop platforms and not on mobile
platforms. This is because traders rarely leave desktops online to go about their businesses. On the other
hand, mobile devices are always connected to the internet. So it is more useful to have the alert system
on mobile platforms.
3. Also, while opening Demo accounts, allow users to type in the amount they wish to demo trade with,
not list huge amounts to select from. It can be misleading to users intending to start live with small capital.
4. Add the ability for traders to navigate to chart window from history, just as it can be navigated from 'Trade'.
