Discussion of article "General information on Trading Signals for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5" - page 25

Valeriy Brusilovskyy:

1. excellent. In the case of a constantly switched on home PC, to stop receiving signals it is enough to close (disable) the MT4 terminal authorised in the MQL5 service?

2. Subsequently, when switching on the MT4 terminal authorised in the MQL5 service and restoring the signals, what are the technical risks: erroneous synchronisation (I made a mistake), synchronisation failures (peculiarities of the service), other technical risks?

1. Yes. You can switch off the MetaTrader 5 terminal, switch to another trading account, uncheck"Enable real-time signal subscription" in the terminal settings. In all these cases, the MetaTrader 5 terminal will stop receiving signals from the "Signals" service (sorry for the tautology).

2. If you have been trading manually on an account to which you have a signal subscription, you are screwed! All positions that you open manually will be considered as "alien" by the "Signals" service. The "Signals" service has no control over "foreign" positions. In general, as soon as you manually intervene in a trading account subscribed to the "Signals" service, the entire responsibility rests with you. You yourself, at your own risk, will be the one to "handle" the situation.

Will the "Signals" service close "alien" positions?

Or "will not notice" ?

If the service "has no authority" - it means that it has no authority over these positions. If you opened the positions yourself on the account subscribed to the signals, you will have to deal with it.

The question is simple, and it can be answered unambiguously: in this case the service will close, in this case it will not.

The lyrics in the style of "sort it out", "to sort it out", "I don't have the power". , "he has no power" - does not give a clear answer, has no relation to the case and therefore is not interesting.

What will happen with more complicated questions.

Karputov Vladimir, are you an employee of the service? Can you give an answer: why the signal is not copied, what is the reason? The fragment of the log-file below.

What is not clear? If the service has no power - then it can do NOTHING with "someone else's" position! You have opened positions yourself - think what to do with them!

Connection via proxy failed.

Here the probable reason is that you are hiding behind a proxy or anonymiser.

Why can only demo be made free of charge open for subscription? Is it impossible to open a subscription with a real account at least for a month for free to promote the signal?

Hi guys, I've read the article but there is one think have to be clarified. Lets use Subscriber 2 from a article as an example. Where his positions should be 7% of signal provider position. What's gonna happen to subscriber when provider opens smallest 1K position? Thanks Bronek

I have subscribed to a signal whose deposit currency was RUB while mine was USD. And it seems the system could not find the exchange rate between RUB and USD. Therefore rate of 1:1 was defined which was wrong. The calculated trading volume was smaller than the min. lot. Would you please help with this. The following log information was attached for your reference:

0 08:45:56.945 '88100913': Signal - signal provider has balance 732 350.35 RUB, leverage 1:500

0 08:45:56.945 '88100913': Signal - subscriber has balance 2 141.32 USD, leverage 1:500

1 08:45:58.536 '88100913': Signal - no conversion rate for the deposit currency of provider (RUB) and subscriber (USD), 1:1 ratio will be used
0 08:45:58.599 '88100913': Signal - percentage for volume conversion selected according to the ratio of balances and leverages, new value 0.3%

I'm not 100% sure.  But if not wrong, 0.01 * 7% = something small.  And it will force to be 0.01 lot.
This will be disaster for this subscriber, since he can't follow the risk management of the signal properly

for ex.
Signal trade lot sequence 0.01  0.01   0.05  then close with profit only on 0.05 (while both 0.01 is still in red, but sum of 3 trades is in green, since won on 0.05 can cover lost of both 0.01)
Subscriber trade at 0.01  0.01 and 0.01 then close. subscriber won on last 0.01 will not enough to cover red from first two lots of 0.01

How to subscribe to the signals in such a way that the positions of the provider, opened before connection to the signals, do not appear in the terminal of the subscriber. That is, only subsequent positions are copied to the subscriber.
