What's the output in the Journal tab?
 

Hi Rosh,

'The Historical Center is directly built into the MetaTrader 5 client terminal. Read Organizing Data Access from Documentation.'

Ok read it, still fogged :), but please describe a bit more concrete this problem. The article says it downloads data from the trade server. I see a problem here.

Many brokers only provides the hist data for lets say 20000 bars back. Eg. for M1 this is  ~ 14 days. For M5 this is ~70 days, etc. 

On your demo trade server I suppose the tester can download data  for the requested period, eg. for 10 years back; this is ok. But I want run the tester when I am connected to a real broker.

So, when using a real broker and trying to run a strategy tester, this will try to download data from the broker or from your demo server ?

Downloading from the broker I am afraid the tester will only receive that 20000 bars bak, or somekind of this ? If this happen, then trying to run and optimize an EA will be almost imposible using broker's hist data.

In MT4, I am logged to my broker but I know I download and use the data from the Metaquotes server. I also know this may be inaccurate but it is appropiate as the broker's one; So, while testing,

I can have all 10 years back stored on my PC and moreover ,during tests, the spread used is the broker's spread. The spread can be different on a live and a demo account; so I use a live account to do tests. 

Can you be a bit more explicitely ?

Hi ,

 Where is the Open price only/Control points & Every tick options list ?

If this is removed and only every tick is used by default I think this is a big mistake.

Error 5 means "access is denied". Check your rigths on this computer

I solved above error - creation error [2] by restore metatester.exe in the insulated zone of AVG free ANTI-VIRUS, and i add mt5 install directory to excluded shelter in AVG setting

it deem mt5 themdia compenment  is virus

 

But why can't I see the opened order Detail, such as open price , close price, open time

 

It's only a problem of mine, or all of you?

After installing Agents, and of couse tried some trial optimizations,

i disabled optimization to run the testing, and it won't run.

Only optimization run, testing not.

It's my problem now too. This used to work OK for me, but now in build 271 it has stopped working.

As you say, optimization works OK. If I turn optimization off, with one of my 2 cores as the selected agent, all the log shows me is this:

If I select a remote agent and run a backtest it still works OK. Only the local agents seem to have this problem.
