Discussion of article "New Article Publishing System at the MQL5.community" - page 10

Yes I have seen them and read them
The difference between them and my article is that some of them are more focused on risk management as a whole in regard to trading  and drawdown and others are very informative as they talk about prop firms and all the important factors to consider and know when trading prop firms  ,but none implemented a specific EA that passes challenges without violating the drawdown limits in this case  fundednext.

My articles looks to develope an EA that trades and passes the prop firm challenges without breaking specific drawdown limits in this case fundednext 1-step account.I have backtested on gold and all the times it passed challenges it did not violate daily draw down or overall drawdown.

Okay I will provide you the plan of the article in draft asap

Hello guys are this type or article allowed?

This article demonstrates SAX, a traditional method used by traders in financial markets. The SAX method converts candlesticks into letters, which form words over several bars. We then analyse the occurrence of each word, its average pip movement, direction and win rate. If a word proves profitable historically, the next time the same pattern appears, a trade is executed based on the direction suggested by history. The focus is on understanding market structure through pattern frequency and probability, rather than automated trading. Readers will learn how SAX simplifies complex price data into actionable statistical insights for technical analysis.

How to finally submit an article for review

fellow.joyous, 2025.11.16 15:27

Hello, pls does anyone know why the 'submit' button for review doesn't show up for articles and what to do about it? Thanks.
Can you please confirm what rating is needed to be able allowed to publish an article ?

Hi @Rashid,

Can you please confirm what rating is needed to be able allowed to publish an article ?

Recently we have seen an influx of newcomers who come to the forum with only one goal - to publish an article and get paid for it. They don't read the articles that are published here, they don't search for articles on the topic they want to use in their article.

They use ChatGPT to create texts and they don't even hide it. And they often want to publish very entry-level articles or just paraphrase MQL5 documentation. That is, to summarise, they do not create true value, but just compile known things from MQL5 documentation, technical analysis, sometimes even mathematics and machine learning.

That's why we had to introduce a rating limit to weed out such authors. The author must participate in the forum life, make his contribution and earn a certain rating. I do not provide the exact value of the rating and what actions form it. All forum old-timers have the necessary rating to send an article for checking.

And once again I remind what we write to potential authors when creating a new article:

We want original ideas and topics that will interest readers.

Every article should have 3 important components:
.

  • What the trader will come to read this article with - what is the trader's problem - Point A (The Beginning)
  • What he/she will leave with after reading the article - what he/she will get - Point B (Conclusion/Conclusion)
  • How the article moves the reader from point A to point B - this is the topic of the article
    .

Before you start writing your article, we recommend reading benchmark articles to get an idea of how to write in a way that is useful and interesting to the reader.

Thanks Rashid, very clear.

Hi
I have written a new advanced method to work with file handlers at the same time on multiple charts.
I'm an author in tens of online magazines, but because it's my first contribution to mql5 programming community I have decided to give you an outline from the manuscript before sending it for review. I really appreciate you if you tell me what do you think about it. Don't worry about typo or grammar since I would review it later, I just want to know that are you interested in the topic.

The Outline:
Advanced FileRead/FileWrite operations:
Let's imagine that several instances of our Expert Advisors at the same time could work with mql5 file functions at every ticks; what would happen? The answer is straightforward... If the EA could open a file handler and process that specific file on multiple charts, it could gain a lot of beneficial advantages over those EAs that can just run on a single chart. For example, the EA would evaluate the volatility of the trading symbol in comparison with the S&P 500 index, and also it would adjust your total trades risk, and it would adjust the lot size per every position on every tick on multiple charts based on the sum of consecutive losses of every single instances of that bot. When a file is opened by a FileRead/FileWrite handler, the file cannot be opened again by another handler unless the previous handler is closed......

That doesn't make sense.

That doesn't make sense.
I personally think it is a valuable article since I have implemented the "while" loop functions and the EA can gain many advantages through using it to open a file handler on tens of charts and even for HFT systems securely and without errors.
But I can forget about this article and start writing about another article regarding an object which I have developed that would calculate dynamic lot size based on previous losses. And I send you an outline from that one instead.
