Hi everyone, so just so I understand how long we need to wait for the new update to be released?
My MT5 is still glitching and doesn't work with 3rd party lot size calculator...pretty annoying

Blocking updates to release builds is highly discouraged. Moreover, if your blocking method results in repeated downloads of the same update, your device/IP may be blocked by MetaQuotes (according to the administration's statements on the forum).
Unfortunately, 5572 is still the most recent release build and contains performance issues. Downgrading to the previous release build 5430 only makes sense if you have the option of not restarting the terminal after the downgrade. Therefore, it makes sense to use beta builds until the next release build is released, as they already have fixed performance issues.
Yes Blend2D engine has been abandoned definitely.
A pitty, I'ld say. The previous engine was clearly inferior in rendering so much so I had to put a volaility treatment system in one of my EAs, which later I was able to abandon from version 5430 onwards. Maybe if the updates MQ did to this last 5572 version had being made exclusive to the beta versions, all this problems/backlashes wouldn't happen and we would still be moving to a superior engine in the future.
That being sad, if it's true that this engine has been abandoned by its own developers on Github and MQ doesn't want to spend resources advancing and correcting the project with its own developers, then maybe a retreat is indeed the best solution for now. Hopefully a new engine without the same problems, but with the same bonuses will be implemented in the future.
