MT5 Totally Screwed after recent Update - page 4

Since yesterday, I haven't been able to log into MT5 on my PC or laptop. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it didn't help. The laptop freezes to the point where I can't run anything. It's a disaster.

The only solution seems to be waiting for a fix of the update honestly, Anything else is temporary.

Hello i have the same issue, my MT5 is not working at all - completely frozen due to the update - I have not found any news or info from meta trader about a fix
My custom indicator with emoji's within label cased my MT5 froze/hang. Removed it, and is useable now... still lags slightly

So much so that even the windows explorer gets stuck. I have tried all solutions from re installing , windows update, clearing caches.
And NO i am not using any beta version nor checked for beta updates.
Anyone else facing this problem ?????
I just am sort of stuck in this problem. Even right now as i am writing this my windows is slowed like a slug due to stuck MT5 trader im background. Even the task manager stops responding. first i thought its my pc but then even my pc has got 8 gb of ram with an SSD . I dont know whats wrong please fix the issue for me  MT 5 Team
It is the exact same issue with me. And I can confirm that it's caused by the update as I have multiple instances of MT5, and only the ones I've updated have the issue. I will try reinstalling it with the file I have and see if that reverts it to the older version - I'm not sure if that is even possible as I think they download files whenever you install it. IDK.

Either way, this is such a pain because I've had everything set up on one of the instances that got screwed (master account for copy trading).

Update: Following this thread (https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/502088), I've managed to revert to prev version. Never updating this app again lol

Same here. Just came from holidays, updated and MT5 is fozen. Any action takes roughly 20s to execute. eg, Click on "chart", wait 20s. Then click experts, wait 20s.

CPU is normal 25%, nothing weird there.

I tried unloading my EA and the app screen started flashing on/off like it was on LSD or something weird (flash on, then show desktop, flash back partially, then full, then show desktop, etc). Never seen anything like it before. That was 5mins ago and its still flashing... so I force quit it and roll back.

Windows 11 under Parallels
 

You must use the previous version 5430 or the latest beta 5574, in which all these errors are corrected.
Or wait for the official launch, which should be done shortly.

If you are still having problems with 5574, publish the technical details about it (source code if possible, records, screenshot...).

I'm not doing anything fancy, just standard windows 11 with all the latest updates.

MT5 automatically updated and now its frozen.

I can exit the process using task manager and restart it, but its still frozen.

I downloaded the latest release from Forge, tried the AVX2 version first, but still the same result. Tried the X64 version and that at least runs, but as soon as I exit MT5 and restart it, it installs the broken version.

Is there anything I can do at this point, or do I need to wait for the next stable version?

Luckily I have no trades open!

So your CPU request you to use X64 version (not AVX2). 

You can either use 5430, and keep it open (otherwise it will update after you start again, as you already noticed).

Or you can try the last beta (Menu Help -> Check for update...). Last beta is 5593 and seems stable.

I will try the beta, but how can I download it without MT5? It hangs as soon as it starts.

Is there a Beta download on Forge somewhere I can access?
