I thought you were going to advise or teach us how. I am new to trading and still a beginner and still studying. I need a mentor to help direct me through the right path.

Never use a real account before your demo account has grown for at least a year first :)
- At least in a year there are 2 or 3 major fluctuations in the market and it is not known when they will occur.

Not all trading techniques can survive in such conditions.

Good luck.

Your post is epic.

I have cleared step 1, but my online marketing skills could fit on the head of a pin.

The first step to 'market' your system is a real, live myfxbook signal. The second step would be a realistic price. Since most EA's are garbage, you need to prove your's works

What strategy actually works?  All the secret ones !  You will never get to know anything about them from anybody - because wide knowledge of a successful strategy dilutes and eventually eliminates the edge.

That's a good point, especially considering the rising popularity of proprietary trading firms and their restrictions. A profitable trader makes her/his money by trading, while the rest is just a part-time hobby.

My experience is that complex logics don't guarantee better performance than simpler ones (and often have worse performance). The key is money management and risk management that can allow your EA to survive. And trading % of equity is much harder to control risks than trading fixed lots.

I completely agree with you.

I used to think it was all about finding the perfect strategy too.

What changed things for me was realizing that even a decent strategy can fail if you’re trading the wrong pairs or the wrong market conditions.

Once I started paying more attention to which currencies were actually strong vs weak, and whether the market was trending or not, things started to make a lot more sense and I stopped forcing trades.

Complex logic isn't always better than simple ones. I've seen it time and again - the more conditions you add, the harder it is to optimize and the higher the risk of overfitting.
