Work in progress, results are coming.

Here is a brief explanation of further plans:

1. The first beta will be completed in the coming weeks. I was forced to allocate considerable time for a good rest as it is not healthy to keep up the intense rhythm of work all the time. And now, the inspiration is back and the desire to finish this project at last is burning again. Honestly, I am very tired of it, but it must be finished.

2. After the first beta I will release updates, but only if there will be user interest and demand. Otherwise, there is no point. I think people will understand me. This devilishly hard work can not continue indefinitely, and in no way, and in no way, pay off. So, if there is demand - I will continue, and if there is no demand - there will be no continuation. In this case, I will take up other projects not related to this resource and programming.

Good to hear your progress.

Please keep going.

Even consider selling it as a paid library. I will pay for it. That might make you more motivated and at least give you a reward for your hard work.

You deserve something back as well no one works for free

It's good to hear about your progress.

Please continue.

Even consider selling it as a paid library. I'll pay for it. It might increase your motivation and at least give you a reward for your hard work.

You deserve something in return too, no one works for free.

Thanks for the encouragement, and will think about your suggestion.

In any case, a free version will be published. Otherwise this thread will turn into a stretched advert for a paid product, which is not good or right. But also, maybe if user demand grows, eventually a paid version will be offered too. Honestly, I have a hard time believing that, but there's a chance.

We'll see.

The main thing is to finally finish the first version.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the update, glad to hear you are well as I know burnout can be such an issue on long and difficult projects.

Retag Konow, I am asking for advice. I have a person in training in MQL5. We have reached the study of OOP. He wants to make a real, simple project of a trading panel. He doesn't need beauty, the main thing is that it should be simple and understandable for his beginner level. For now, I plan to take apart ...MQL5Indicators/Examples/Panels/ChartPanel and ...MQL5Indicators/Examples/Panels/SimplePanel from the terminal delivery.

.

Can you recommend something else from your experience? Thank you!

Douglas Prager projects.
Hi Douglas. Glad there's interest in progress.
Work continues to progress.

The last delay was due to a long period of conceptualising how to work with custom projects/templates within the graphics editor. It was necessary to find simple and effective solutions for a vast set of tasks. As of today, the concept has been written and the implementation plan has been drawn up. And it should be added that after careful thought and serious preliminary preparation, writing codes usually takes little time.

In the next phase, the six basics of the graphical editor will be completed. Then the last phase of testing the editor's functionality and pre-release bug cleanup will begin.

To add. In my practice, concept generation takes the lion's share of time and depending on the complexity of the task can stretch from several hours to months. However, once solutions are found and a plan is made, implementation happens with amazing speed. In this case, custom designs and UI templates were the most difficult concepts of the six. Now, they're thought out and written. So things will go faster.

Simple trading functionality does not require a complex panel and you can use standard MQL graphical objects. For example, rectangles, text labels and buttons. In this case, the task will only be to position the primitives and write an event model linking cursor coordinates and mouse clicks with the call of trading functions. The output of values of programme parameters can be easily done through the Edit element.

Of course, if we are talking about a simple panel. In case of a complex panel, I can't advise you, as I haven't used anything but my own solutions.

Circumstances necessitate postponing the project. The timeframe is uncertain. Whether the work will be resumed is not known. There's a good chance it won't.

Thank you for your participation.
