The fastest economic calendar. - page 5

Serhii Shevchuk:

Should the CalendarValueHistory function work in the strategy tester? I have it returning true, but the buffer is empty. I run debugging on real data - there are events, on historical data - no events.

The strategy tester does not work. These functions:

CalendarEventById(event_id, event)
CalendarCountryById(event.country_id, country)

Give error 4014 System function not allowed to be called, i.e. not allowed in Strategy Tester

I think this is a real shame. You could probably make a function for downloading calendar data, as it used to be for the quote archive. Download a certain period of calendar history, and then test different approaches. That would be really cool. Now we need to find a workaround and create a function in the Expert Advisor so that it would download data in real mode beforehand.

Nonfarm Payrolls wasn't even a minute later. I just thought we were fighting for milliseconds in data retrieval speed here. That's a shame. Perhaps something will change in the future.

I originally thought so too, that the calendar in mt5 would be mega cool,

Quote:

(We purposely designed it to work with minimal delay)

(In theory the delay is in the tens of milliseconds.

(We have our own specialised spider on the primary sources that are listed on each section of the calendar)

(No, 5 seconds is out of the question. Perhaps the rendering/updating of the website page may have given that impression.

Internally, we have for the MT5 trading platform implemented a reltime brodcast streaming of all events with no delays).

But it turned out to be a lot worse than on that veryInvesting.com.

If free sources are used, stable milliseconds are out of the question. IMHO, of course)

So what's the best calendar... (

Confused

Autoclickers write that most of the money from subscriptions is spent on paying suppliers directly somewhere out there, it's tens of thousands of dollars. They say that's why they get faster quotes.

For the record. A free calendar won't arrive quickly

From free Investing.com, latency 0.1 - 0.3 ms

Hi all, who knows the fastest economic calendar where news data is published online (forecast, current events)?

What is the point of such a calendar. The news doesn't solve anything at all. They're like candy wrappers. Just for beauty.

That's intriguing. What are the paid ones?

You guys look like you've come from the moon. The earlier you enter a trade on strong news, the bigger the profit.
