Never once in many years of using terminals has portable
Always put it on D drive and used it. Reading about portable on the forum, I never understood why I needed it, that's why I never used it.
Show me where you go when you open data directory from menu
Honestly...
Miracles don't happen.
Show where you go if you open the data directory from the menu
Be honest...
There's no such thing as miracles.
In the D drive, exactly where the terminal is installed
To drive D, exactly where the terminal is installed
There are no miracles in the world. Either \portable or symbolic links.
There's nothing, I've never used it or even tried it.
Downloaded the distribution, selected the D drive to install and I'm using it.
Really two different terminals are running, the second terminal starts with the data folder on the C drive and the new one on the D drive. Before installing the new one, I uninstalled the old one via "install and uninstall applications", but it doesn't seem to have uninstalled it correctly or something. How then, it turns out, should the old terminals be removed correctly?
Start MT5 from disk D. Open the market in the terminal and install what you need.

You run mt5 from disk D. Open the market in the terminal and install what you need.
I wanted it to work out of the box and not have to keep looking for solutions to problems. I have one terminal installed on my PC, but I don't know if two profiles of one and the same terminal are started. That's why I didn't want to solve my problem with the /portable crutch in the first place, because I suspect I will have more problems now and in the future.
I wanted everything to work properly and not have to constantly look for solutions to problems. I do have one terminal installed on my computer, but it's either two profiles of the same terminal running, or I don't know what the hell it is. Why originally I didn't want to use /portable to solve my problem, because I suspect I will have more problems in the future.
You can't run the same terminal twice.
When you start the second terminal, open the task manager and see where it came from
