Who exactly was asking for gratis? The request was made according to generally accepted canons, in particular the strategy algorithm open to all readers. That's the most we can offer here. I thought that the supporters will respond, but I never thought that the opponents would make such a mess.

Don't think you have "opponents" here, much to your credit. Proposals like yours come up at least once a week, and many are fed up with it.

The script, however, has not changed in recent years:

  1. you are offered to write an adviser on a superidea for free (oh no, sorry, the idea itself is already valuable!);
  2. the idea is as dull as a duduk song;
  3. the initiator gets sent to the jobe, gets offended;
  4. the topic grows to 10-15 pages, someone can't take it anymore and gets personal;
  5. moderators tear it down.

Where have you seen such common canons? In a shop: "I'll tell you a joke and you'll give me a bite to eat for it."

And your version of the wording of my request is semantically incorrect. "I offer to tell you a joke and you give me a bite to eat in return, if you like."
