Here are some doubts about this logic. Not unreasonable. I'll check it out.
Doubts were confirmed. I opened an account without funding it, connected MT to the stock market, everything works. There is no access to foreign securities - they do charge a fee, about 300 roubles a month, but the Russian market is there.
Can I open an account online? I don't have the opportunity to be in Russia.
For non-residents, you need notarised documents and still need to be present in person at one of the representations in Russia.
I am a resident but not physically present in Russia.
