And what else can you call a system where you go through all the TFs to see where the image lines up best? If it doesn’t line up anywhere, you can do it like this:
“Analysis on the M5…”
“The trend is up..., although indicator 3 is in the red...”
My dear!
You can come up with all sorts of different theories...
It’s much easier just to show your own analysis...
Am I asking for the impossible?...
Sweetie!
You can say lots of different letters...

Am I asking for something impossible?...
Since you regularly take part in threads like this, and even share your indicators, why don’t you open trades there?? Even if it’s just on a demo account
Instead of these vague predictions of an uptrend or downtrend

That’s exactly how it was right from the start:
PS/ And on the M5, you can now trade downwards. Because it’s evening and after a long uptrend

Instead of these vague predictions of whether the market will go up or down
You can always compare the proposed analysis with the ACTUAL state of affairs after a while...
And ANY trader who is GENUINELY interested can keep track of this...

All posts have timestamps; you can plot them on a chart. Then you’ll see who’s speaking before the events and who’s speaking afterwards
It was like that right from the start:
Now open your M5 and have a lookSo?...
I couldn’t close the position at a profit...
I never said the asset wouldn’t jump up or down… , so you need to keep an eye on the PRICE…

You do realise that the TIMESTAMPS on the timeline don’t mean anything...
Or do you not realise?...

It feels like its own separate trading world.
and then my EA closed it while I was washing up
I also have a question about scalping. You mentioned earlier that you look for both scalping and swing entries using your system. How would you evaluate or compare scalping versus swing trading from your experience?

[Just for the sake of others viewing this post, your question is about my system for designing strategies (or alternatively, a "strategy construction plan"─not any particular trading strategy.]
Basically, the trading instrument selected must be conducive to the trading style in the first place. GBPJPY, for example, is good for swing trading. It tends to stall, jump, stall, fall, and so on but it does so on a mid-frequency basis. Its high spreads that generally preclude scalping are actually de minimis while swing trading. If you look at the CME's volume and O/I for GBPJPY futures as a proxy, you'll likely see that interest spikes about every 2 weeks. That doesn't exactly scream, "Scalp me!"
Gold, on the other hand, has higher and more consistent volatility─and unsurprisingly, CME gold futures volume and O/I tends to mirror that. Gold tends to move with a purpose on an intraday basis, unlike any currency pair. You could swing trade it, but why would you when it's so scalp-able?
Washing dishes by hand brings a sense of calm and mental clarity. As the warm water flows over your hands and through your fingers, the monotonous, repetitive motions release excess physical tension. In moments like these, the brain effectively tunes out the noise and becomes incredibly efficient
Hi!
Is it worth buying gold at 1130?
