Metatrader known bugs ... - page 43

mladen:
The fact that the errors keep reappearing after they already have been solved made me think that there is a kind of a "sabotage" among the coders working on that project. Or their project manager is lost in combining individual works of coders. But what is sure : there is no normal testing of what they update or "upgrade" at all, otherwise, even after a couple of minutes, they would know what is wrong

My opinion is MQ is doing development in several locations and they have lost control of their source code repository, e.g. there are different source versions in each location. They probably unit test in each but do not test again when the code is "merged". A complete mess. It is just getting worse with each release.

Another thought is they have written their own source control system and it is as buggy as as MT4; they are getting what they deserve.

They have lost sense

What they are doing now is arrogant, wrong and above all stupid. Typical for a feeble mind(s) when succeeds accidentally

What is the best way to prevent updates?

:):)

Don't use it All the instances of Metaquotes\webinstall that you find on your c: partition should be checked and if anything is in there, delete it, and that should be it. Be careful : usually those are on 2 places

Seems that in latest build (660) there are cases when it does not do it that way - all in all, it looks that their biggest "problem" is how to force updates and not to clean the bugs up

It is already annoying : after one year still if you have 2 or more dots in a name and you want to ":save as" you are not sure what are you going to get as a file name. Metatrader does not know the difference between a name and an extension

Also we are having a new term : "bad installation" of metatrader (when, among other things, it does not write ex4 files) What else it does wrong? And who made a "bad installation"? Users? How, when they can not influence updates at all? One ridiculous thing after the other.

Imagine "badly installed" metatrader running "badly compiled EA" on your account

It is like that from the very begining

It was reported to them but no changes

Probably they think that we should use "metatrader name notation" (whatever it is) - back to the 19th century

Look at their "signals" stats : they are changing today. That is the only trading platform that changes values when the markets are closed. They do not think anything. They are not aware of what is going on with metatrader - purple haze
