Backtesting Multi Time Frame EAs - FAQ

Hi

I wonder How can we backtest an EA which uses higher or lower TF than the chart it is attached to?!

I tryed to back test my EA which uses diffrent indicators on diffrent TFs but it did not work.

Could someone advise me in this regard please. I need to to find it out ASAP guys

reversal system

has anybody developed a decent reversal indicator? not something crapy like a moving average cross but something that is pretty decent?

i made a system a while ago that was doing well so i used it live and doubled my account in a month until i ended up chasing some losses and blew out the account im thinking that maybe with some better indicators i could maybe revive it and post it,

i would just like to make sure it is working well before posting i dont want to just submit crap to the forum

This is very good indicator to see reversal point.

I use it for manual trading.

Do not forget set P value 10 OK?

hey thanks for sharing your indicator would you be interested in sharing your system as well

i am working on one its manual not ea (yet) once i have all the kinks out of the manual i will begin working on the ea

I am not coder. I am studying.

I have never made good EA yet.

I do have manual scalping strategy not EA.

If somebody code my strategy for the Advance Elite section.

I will provide one or two strategy, I don't mind.

my methods are all scalping method. win about 10 to 20 pips for one trade.

Hello

I have a great strategy would appreciate it if we can make an EA or an indicator for it

Rules are : ( as shown on the attached pic )

1- The 2 Vertical ( red) lines are the range between ( the start of the day and the 12:00 midd day )

2- After the 12:00 candel is closed ( we see the high & low ) for that range

3- we drow a ( Horizontal line ) - one on the highest and the other one on the lowest price dureing that range

Finaly :

We wait for the price to reach (((almost))) one of them ( the high or the low )

Then:

If the price went up and reached almost ( 2-3 pips diff ) the high then we sell with 15 to 20 pips TP and 15pips SL

SAME goes for the price if it reached the low

we do this trade only once not more

Just some poking. Who knows, might be useful

Seems that some false signals can be filtered out at almost no lag cost. Also, if SmoothLength < 2, there will be no smoothing, but do not be surprised if the color on some bars is not the same. It was a small issue in the original fixed in this one
