Just want to confirm about UseMaxOrdersClose = true

in TickScalper_v3.45.6 EA - it works: I have MaxOrders = 7 and EA went to 8th ... but instead of openning this 8th - all the trades were closed.

In this case the account was protected: I lost 300 dollars only instead of losing whole the account.

So, this version (together with fixed v3.45.7) can be recommended.

I think - I can start to use it (fixed v3.45.7) with more pairs (I am using with EURGBP for now).

This is my statement (for TickScalper_v3.45.6 EA).

Floating drawdown is about 300 dollars for now.

If you use EquityTrailing = true and UseMaxOrdersClose = false, then will be regular EquityTrailing.

newdigital:
I changed TickScalper_v3.45.6 EA to v3.45.7a.

Still trading EURGBP only but I am planning to trade more pairs on same account.

Settings is the same as for v3.45.6 - the only I changed is SalvageMartingaleStep to 7 and Breakeven to 5. I really like this Salvage feature.

Hi ND,

I like it too. I am running still my one version so I can tune it for one pair. Is very broker liquidity dependent. Run some BT for what ever value they have and EURUSD M1 and it lost after 5 1/2 years back test, supersafemode 55 pips MGstep, SalvageMartingaleStep 5, and max orders 10 and still it lost. I can post statement if you want. When I get free time I will test with TickData raw to see if I can use for a long term and not only short term. Any how my test were with data from alpari from 2000 to 2011 but not raw and not suited for scalper and with fix spread. Not really real world .

In order to run this ea safely I would like to find the largest historically on a pair trend at M1 time frame and what was the retrace in pips. Example we need 100 pips trend, 10 pips retrace, 250 pips trend , 25 pips retrace to break even... Do you have this information or any ideas on testing it properly. Scalping and Martingale have inherit limitations the trick to salvage the account if wrong trades were initiated is a step but if the trend is very strong it will fail. After my tick scalping raw data test I will know more about the probabilities.

I also investigate and it looks interesting this ea with MGstep 10 and SalvageMartingaleStep 4 and MaxOrders 10. It escapes fast enough very small dd time and scalps again. Risky if salvage mode does not make it. BT fail, forward test not yet. Will try with tick data also to see.

Regards

NC!

I used TickScalper_v3.45.6 EA with UseMaxOrdersClose = true so when the trades went to 8th martingale order - all the trades were closed (loss was about 370 dollars).

After that - I change v3.45.6 to v3.45.7a (SalvageMartingaleStep 5, Breakeven to 5, max orders 10) and everything is fine for now. EURGBP M1.

I just hope that initial deposit will be recovered with this v3.45.7a
