flat detector works like this:
used price weighted go over 1% std.dev (BBup/low bands - see pict)
5TF XO ind:
Valeo (xo thread) uses 5TF XO - but it would be very difficult to use it in not very specialised thread(system) - it count (scores) xo moves from 5 TFs but MT4 doesn't keep the score:
- we can see price move by bars(candles) but not indicator values moves(changes) - if you switch tf - data is gone - history will keep only indicator close (open)values - one line - nothing in between (open close high and low - like price bars does)
if you switch TF - 5tf xo will start count and to gane score from fresh (see, it's not like regular mtf indi)
Valeo keeps 5min chart specially dedicated for 5tf xo
- so if you don't want to explain to every visitor how it work, how to use it, is it repaints - better use normal 1tf xo

My only point is that you can't get into trade till 5MA have cross 12MA, if not its dam picky as you can see...
If not, going for 2MA crossing 4 or 5MA, only catch 2 or 3 pips and get the chance to hit your SL.
