hi

i am trying to use electra on odl demo account of 97k. and it gives me for the 5th pair not sufficient fund to trade this pair . i try ti change pair it is the same do not take more than 4 pairs .!! did i do anything wrong ?? i changed the magic number for each pair .is there anything i should do ?

Maybe because the EA is using automatic money management?

Try to set UseAutomaticMM to False and set your lots manually.

Before I am attaching EA to the chart so I am playing with the settings (MM, lot size and deposit size) by simple backtesting. Just to see lot size for EA to open the order. You can do the same. Just open EA in MetaEditor: it should be some description of the settings (MM and risk ..). Just change those settings during the backtesting (set your desirable deposit size as well) just to see the lot size to open the trade.

I am always doing it with every EA: I did it with any Step EA and so on.

With any EA with regulated MM and risk.

Just some thinking abou this EA.

EURUSD.

+381 pips.

No trades is open (from the statement).

GBPUSD.

+483 pips closed.

-40 pips is open trade now (from the statement - open_pips_gbpusd file).

AUDUSD.

+804 pips closed.

No any trades is open now.

GBPJPY.

+1136 pips closed.

No any trades were open now.

EURCHF.

+930 pips.

I just want to say that some pairs are very profitable with this EA.

I don't think it will be soon as this EA is having stop loss coded inside the EA besides the orders are openning by 0.01 or 0.02, or 0.03 or 0.04 lot size ...

After too much testing I added an indicator to trade the H4 trend, I reduced the trade frequency, I added several Partial TP, to help during ranging markets, because when market is trending we don’t need much help to make a profitable Swing or trend following system, even a random signal will do if you manage to stop loses but when markets are in ranging mode we get killed, our winners never are winners, they come back to get stopped.

Basically each order use a SL between 0.5 ATR to 2 ATR it meant that in a pair with 100 pips daily range the stop could be 50 pips to 200 pips depending the pair. that's the money you will loss on each stop.

Some pair will win, the other pair will loss ...

Besides it is EA for long run (same with Alpha): the profit should be calculated yearly and it will be always bad year and good year.

That is why I need to test it more.
