Live Testing reports - page 76

m6m6:
You have bean "fiddling" a lot my friend. I was impressed by the two trades P6B4 took yesterday and particularly the way it exited the trades. Very interesting !

As I am getting back on my feet, I will continue the hunt for settings starting with GBP/USD. I just can't find P6B5, it is not on the first page !!! Can you direct me ?

Thanks a million pips !

I'm still working on P6B5, I added Wackena's ATR filter as Filter #1, the parabolic SAR works (but isn't a good idea with this strategy) and I'm trying to tie up a few odds and ends. I will post it before I finish for the night.

All of the trading signal settings remain the same as Phoenix 5 except for the Divergence signals. I adjusted the Divergence signals to be 1.0 instead of 0.0001 for EURUSD and other 4 digit pairs. The same thing applies to USDJPY with 2 digit pairs, converting 0.01 into 1.0. This way similar settings can be used on different currencies. It also prevents trying to optimize based on something that is completely irrelevant, like (under the new system) 0.001 which could accidentally happen in the old system. There shouldn't be more than 1 decimal place on the divergence filter settings.

I posted "new best" settings for USDCHF on the P6 Beta thread. These new settings take full advantage of the new filter, and the other trading signals are adjusted for the new filter. I'm using these settings live and testing older settings demo only - yes I like the new settings. The vote of confidence comes partially because the highest performer over my optimization data was also the highest performer in my out of bounds test data. (R1 and R2).

R1= 2007-01-28 to 2007-04-07 Profit Factor 3.34 (This number is unrealistic)

R2= 2007-04-07 to 2007-04-24 Profit Factor 1.56

lol m6m6 my friend, I hope you're feeling better, but I think may be you should take a couple more days rest.... daraknor is saying that he is currently working on P6B5, hence it hasn't been released yet.

I have good news and bad news. Bad news is.... neither P6B3 nor P6B4 is showing profit for me at the moment. Good news is.... after weeks of watching P6 in action, I can see that P6 picks the tops and bottoms very well, a definite improvement over P5. The problem is that P6 seems to get confused sometime and picks the wrong direction, many trades often end up hitting SL rather than hitting TP.

Come on guys, the end is near! All we have left to do is help daraknor figure out how to make Phoenix pick the right direction and optimize some settings, then we've got our perfect Phoenix!

Hi hhsmoney, where can i get that P6B4 ea.

Thanks

P6B5 has been posted, with updated settings in a separate post over at https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/176593

I'm running out of things on my to do list, and the 2 bugs discovered after weeks of testing were fixed. I need more bug reports, or I will need to release Phoenix 6!

I think the Grace/Force code is acting weird still, I needed a few days to breathe before working on it again. Stupid invalid trade error message... Hopefully fixed in the next release of MT4.

PhoenixFund Live Money:

Weekly Gain USD: $93.99

Weeky Gain PIP: 53

P5.7.2 GBPUSD: 84 pips, P6B4 & P6B5 USDCHF, -35 pips

(trade from last week carried a USDCHF -40 pip loss over to this week)

I'm looking forward to a full week of testing on the new settings. The new P6B5 settings show 4 win 3 loss in backtest, which resulted in a $463 gain trading 1 lot all week. (Last trade closed out at a minor loss due to end of testing.) The old settings show a 2 win 5 loss resulting in -1395. I highly recommend getting your new settingshere for FXDD and here for IBFX.

Forward testing for USDCHF mixed settings shows 3 win 4 loss.

How about making the decrease factor "outside setting" available in P6B5. I was supposed to test it and report to you but I was not able for health reasons. I am now really getting better and will try changing the inside code setting (no promises )...

Again, good results with the Fund money, + 20.5 % !

You can also take a small well earned break !!!

Note: did not test TS as I wasn't sure what vaule to use.

Note2: The usdjpy pair was added on 4/12. If you want to look at the results for mode3 purely, then you may wish to ignore order #8036259 eventhough it was a winner. As soon as I attached the EA to the usdjpy chart, the EA opened a trade under mode1 even before I had the chance to switch to mode3. Instead of killing the trade, I just kept it open. As soon as I switched to mode3, the EA immediately opened 3 more trades, so I guess the market condition was extremely ripe for the EA at the time.

After taking a beating last week, P573 actually made a nice comeback this week only to be slaughtered again when Friday rolled around. While wujun's gbpusd optimized setting may work on IBFX, I don't think it's doing much good for FXDD, so I'm switching the gbpusd setting for P573 back to default next week. P6B5 would have actually been profitable this week only if......... (check out the swaps )

Sunday morning :

Can'y open FXDD demo account to extract Statements of the week.

(btw : very positive this week on P570)

Seems that demo FXXD platform is under maintenance since Friday.

(or worst : they close my demo account without any notice : thanks guys !!!!)

Will post as soon as I can...

Nice WE all
