I personally trade Phoenix 5.7.0 live on GBP/USD. You will have a lot of answers in the other Phoenix threads and in particular in the following :

If you decide to use Phoenix live, you should consider opening an account with FXDD and request that Phoenix Funnd be the IB. More info here :

!xmeter

would it be possible to subtitute !xmeter indicator to send signals? It's a simple ea that calculates the strength of prices. For example 7.0 eur 2.0 usd indicates long position on the eur/usd. It always works at these levels. Indicator is attached - drop it into the experts folder and double click.

Files:
xmeter.mq4  17 kb

I see !xMeter EAs popping up in many threads. None seem to work for me.

What I'm really looking for is a indicator version.

Can someone please post it?

I'll look into the source code for indicators, Phoenix 6 has been released and I'd like to pile up some indicators into it. I made a different strategy without OSMA or moving averages by adding RSI. The backtesting and testing out of bounds (on non optimized data) seem solid, although not a huge performer. I'm going to keep hunting for settings for other currencies as well. The P6 thread has both EA and settings file, the Dev thread has the EA only, the settings thread has the settings only.

SURE, HERE YOU ARE EA version.........

To TraderSeven:

But EA based on xMeter is not working properly - or better say, not in the best way. If you would like to cooperate on improving let me know - I like general philosophy of xMeter.

" Phoenix - Development+Suggestions - MQ4 in Post#1"

I'm working a lot, getting few solid results. My computer likes to hard boot and crash if I do optimizations. I ran every memory checker I could find *EVEN THE VISTA INSTALL CHECKER* and more trusted things like Ubuntu's memory checker at boot time. No memory issues. Suspect processor or motherboard issues :/ Might be remotely related to ambient heat, but installing several extra fans and getting chills standing near my computer still results in crashes.

Thankfully you can stop/resume backtesting on an exhaustive search (not Genetic Algo) optimization. Unfortunately, this isn't preserved when my system crashes.

I'm writing some indicators and writing several more EA. Mostly I've been working on writing my own trading platform (instead of MT4, but also integrating with MT4 for MT4 brokers).

Mate,

Did you check your hard drive? I experienced the same problem, when the hard drive's buffer area are spoilt, and that canot be detect. When running usual stuff its ok. But if we run backtest, the entire system will slow down, even worst then my 1986's 8088 AT system. After replacing a new hard drive, everything seems to be fine. Take note that if either 1 of the hard drive having the buffer problem, it will affect the entire computer system. Therefor, the buffer damanged hard drive is now a external hard drive for me to back up my porno movie only. It needs computer restart after distached the drive from the USB too... hope this help

Regards

David
