The second link can be converted - judging from a quick view. At the first link there is a function (percentrank) for which we would need the math definition to be able to use that code. Will check what can be done from the second link

Awesome! Thanks for the insight. The Laguerre PPO Tops and Bottoms does have that "MACD" feel about it. But I think the one that's on Tradingview by Chris Moody is a little different. I believe that incorporates the VIX as well. I'm not too sure but I've used the Laguerre PPO Tops and Bottoms on the M15 charts with an alert set at the extreme (red bar and lime green bar) and have counter-traded in those directions on a small $500 live account doing 0.05 lots and it worked out very well! I was amazed haha.
But then I got a bit greedy and tried it on the M5 charts and almost got wiped out hehe.
So M15 is the minimum for the Laguerre PPO Tops and Bottoms for me.

Thanks for explaining some of your view and then sorry for your wiped outing,i think some times (not always) traders face problems and or loose their account not because of only TIME FRAME factor but at that time and those days market price movement was not favorable,as mostly traders knows well short whipsaw price movement always eat balance due to lot of numbers of trades that are mostly false trades plus lot of expenses (commission/spread) and trending market always produce winning trades because of less false trades and less expenses ....... so it depend mostly on market situation even you can have positive trades in 1M TF some times.

Just a minor change in calculation and some code clean-up (removed what was not needed in the code at all)

PS: the interesting thing is that any (and I mean any) average can be used for this type of calculation and indicator :)

Here is the version that can calculate PPO using one of the 4 basic average types (SMA, EMA, SMMA and LWMA)
