Mandarine - page 9

So, what happened with the price between March and August 2007?

Look at the image: price crossed all resistance lines to go short on D1 and then crossed all D1 resistance lines to go long:

To understand it more clear please look at this market condition indicator https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/178404

It is W1 timeframe:

It was template from this thread https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/174756

So, we can see from the image (if we are comfortable with the color of Market Condition indicator): the price was changed from correctional trend, proven good downtrend, bear market rally, proven uptrend and choppy market. It is on W1 just from March till August 2007 only! And it was choppy market condition on MN1 (monthly) timeframe.

That is why this EA lost from March till the August 2007. Because this EA is based on just 1 indicator only and this indicator is as digital filter line (some kind of MA for example).

Why I am describing it here?

I am forward testing EAs with the same settings. It means that I am not changing the settings during the forward testing EAs for many months and years. So, you do not need to use same settings. Besides, you can take the excel files (updating weekly) and analyze it by yourself. Where to download excel performance files to - https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/174416

It is in excel so you can do the same with me drawing the diagrams and charts to understand the settings, market condition and, finally, to select EA for yourself.

Updated statements for Mandarine EA.

For the performance since the beginning of the testing - please read this post https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/174416

Mandarine ?

ND,

New member here, but I have a question.

Why does the MANDARINE EA give a "T3" in the comments of MT4?

I'm with IBFX & am using default settings.

Thanks for the help,

Thanks for the help,

This Mandarine is public EA. The development of this EA was interesting.

It was idea here https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/172937 (it was December 2005). It was a system in VT Trader as you can see from this post https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/172937

Than Beluck and Alex.Piech.FinGeR started to code.

They coded Mandarine indicator first and than EAs.

So Beluck did one post for claification of the rules and they started to code.

Beluck:
As far as I can see it is 2EMA crossover system with T3MA confirmation and trailing stop.

Rules are as follows:

- long signal - fast EMA crosses slow EMA up and fast EMA is above T3MA;

- short signal - fast EMA crosses slow EMA down and fast EMA is below T3MA;

- long exit signal - fast EMA crosses slow EMA down;

- short exit signal - fast EMA crosses slow EMA up;

- trailing stop exits.

hellkas, can you confirm?

It was in 2005.

So, 2 coders started to code this EA independently from each other. And we got 2 Mandarines:

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/176044

Because T3MA was recoded by them differently.

I am testing Mandarine by Beluck.

So, because one of the indicator was identified as T3MA on original VT Trader system so comments was not changed.

It is the all the thread concerning this EA (pulic thread):

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/172946

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/172948

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/172945

So, this EA can be discussed in those public threads with results (my testing results), the settings and so on.

Mandaine is the second EA created on our forum (we are having a lot of EAs created ut it as the second one in very beginning).
