I'am also new to this and I am not sure if have done something wrong with my setups.
But look at the first post of this threat. You can download the rules and indicators and setups there. You must paste the indicators in the following folder (guess it's the same on every version): Meta Trader 4 -> Experts -> Indicators.

What do we wanna do with those ranges?

USDCHF, level 4 sell (08:30cet) @ 1,2421. Closed at 1,2449 for a 27 pips loss.
USDCHF, level 1 buy (14:30cet) @ 1,2449 with pivot at 1.2452 and stop loss at 1,2435 or 1,2418.
EURUSD, level 2 buy (15:00cet) @ 1,2736 with stop at 1,2722 or at 1,2712.

USDCHF, level 4 sell (08:30cet) @ 1,2421. Closed at 1,2449 for a 27 pips loss.
USDCHF, level 1 buy (14:30cet) @ 1,2449 with pivot at 1.2452 and stop loss at 1,2435 or 1,2418. A loss of 14 pips or a "gain" of 16 pips. It has made a high at 1,2465.
EURUSD, level 2 buy (15:00cet) @ 1,2736 with stop at 1,2722 or at 1,2712. A loss of 14 pips (1,2722).
Total = - 55 pips.
Ranges:
EURUSD, 45 pips. Its average is 80.
USDCHF, 42 pips. Its average is 99.
GBPUSD, 41 pips. Its average is 151.
What did I do today?
I made one single and naked pip on cable out of CatFX50.

Yesterday was an extremely flat, boring day. Today, EURUSD has a range so far of 23 pips. GBPUSD, 51 pips; and USDCHF, 26 pips.
In 9 hours, EURUSD has been trading in a range of 23 pips!!!!!!!!
This boredom can be broken quick or not. I do not know. We have data today.
