MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal build 438

  1. Terminal: Fixed trade history request by "Custom period" time range.
  2. Terminal: Fixed Push messages having invalid MetaQuotes ID.
  3. Terminal: Fixed possible incorrect display of company data in About window.
  4. Terminal: Fixed translation of the interface into Mongolian, Czech and Turkish.
  5. Terminal: Fixed support for fixed demo account balance.
  6. Tester: Improved file cache operation during optimization.
  7. MetaEditor: Fixed working with clipboard.
  8. MetaEditor: Fixed memory leaks.
  9. Fixed errors reported on the forum and in crash logs.

The update will be available through the LiveUpdate system.

Also, please fix invalid proxy settings for 127.0.0.1

Several brokers have already implemented that on mt4. Do some research.
 

I created an EA which works with mt4gui.dll ( real buttons on chart ).

Worked perfectly on all Mt4-platforms ( I have 7 Mt4-platforms from 7 different brokers ) until

I confirmed the live-update on Pepperstone-Mt4 this morning.

Well, now the EA crashes Mt4 immediately when it gets attached.

Therefore I conclude that Mt4 built some new bugs into the new release.

What should I do now ?

Hundreds of hours of work for this EA just blown into the wind ?

Did you try to compile your EA with this new MT4 build? Maybe that helps.

Maybe you should check if you have this mt4gui.dll at the root of Meta trader or at dll folder libraries. I am still astonished that MQL did already rolled out this preliminary build when changes are still planned. My broker got it too, only for the demo accounts, live is still v434... and at this forum where no info to find about this build v434... MQL is working a bit strange to test it builds now via brokers. Nice to be an beta-tester even if not asked if I wannabe it or not.

I tested all possible locations, but still the EA crashes Mt4.


In previous builds of Mt4, the dll´s were exactly where they should be according to the author of the dll´s

and of course it worked perfect. (mt4gui.dll in experts/libraries folder and mt4gui2.dll in root directory of Mt4 )


Something must have been changed inside Mt4 and this "something" causes the crash of Mt4.

I still have old Mt4-installations (build 432 ) and there the EA doesn´t crash Mt4.

 

I have updated to 438 under windows vista and MT4 just closes after launching.

Several friends report the same issue.
