Hey MQL

Was a trader in 1993-1999, then quit to do Real Estate. That is over now, how SAD!. Im Trading Forex as all here are Trading, Im using no sorting software, watch list of any type. Please Help me solve this!

Im a older Man, looking to share my very simple successful trading style with any one. Would like any one here help me with a few simple indicator and scanning request.

My need involves the BB, rsi indicators with scanning / results, very simple stuff, Im simply not a programmer, just a result producer most of the time. I have been trading Demo on Forex for about 4 months,

was trading equities for 6 years and the two are quit similar. OK, attached is a demo detail of that past 4 weeks. The results are ok, with a little help from an experienced programmer they can be much better.

If any one would have any interest in my trading style, just let me know.

100% profit in four weeks wouldn't say much about the trading style. Are you looking to hire a programmer or partner with one? If I was a programmer looking to partner with you, the trading style would be important i.e, Trend, Counter-Trend, Over-(bought/sold), Breakout or Scalper. What type of Money Management i.e, Fixed Percentage, Variable Percentage, Fixed Lots (Flat) or Martingale. And what does "Scanning" mean?

100% return is beyond the exception for the average trader of equities and Forex. These type results month after month produce a very wealthy income. I have given no thought to partnering with a programmer, that would only be wise on the programmers part to know the trader with proven results. I dont feel my results have the time (only been in this market for a few months) to build any amount of confidence in a programmer or any one. Therefore I would be interested to hire a programmer to build a "Scanner" (over time) to suit my needs.

My trading style is so very simple and basic any one over 12 years of age can master it. It consists of trend / over bought or sold / break ups and downs. Money management is elementary, 2% risk of capitol per trade.

"Scanning" is the term used for a piece of software that "looks" at all Equties, or in this case Pairs, comperes the Pair against the required criteria, and orderly returns the results. Very simple concept, but beyond my abilities to program.

Yes, I totally agree 100%-Monthly is Not average returns. Unfortunately, I've only been programing for about 3 months now and doubt that I could program a Scanner for you. If you're looking to pay a professional programmer, mql5 have a process which is facilitated by MetaQuotes Software Corp. I'm guessing if they could program in mql5 then some of them could do mql4 maybe outside the process.

 

Your system sounds text-book. So this should generate hope for a text-book trader looking for 100% per month. I hope you can find the right programmer (paid or not). Good luck.

Thank you for corresponding. 3 months of programming may be all that is needed for the simple requirements I am needing. Im an older gentleman, 46 years, and have seen many very inexperienced programmers with outstanding skills far beyond their years. Each person excels at their own pace. When I traded Equities, 1993-1999, I used a simple but powerful piece of scanning / sorting software by the name of "Sort-Wizard". The developer lives 10 minutes from my home, very good friend to me. This software only works with Townsend Analetics data feed, through a trading platform name 'RealTick" for equities only. The developer will not consider developing a similar software for Forex, I have tried.Therefore I am looking for assistance. This link is to the Sort-Wizard's "Search Variables" The variables also know as Indicators that are listed on the right side of the page under "The SortWizard® Plus Field Definitions"

Here is the link http://www.sortwizard.com/help/fielddef.htm I am only interested in a few of these indicators to begin, later, I would be interested in others. I would be interested in importing to Excel or some small simple custom interface.

For additional information you may be interested in viewing the RealTick site http://www.realtick.com/ Again, this is the Data Feed for the SortWizard which is useless in Forex.

Should any other members have any input on this programming, please make it known. Also, If there are any "Manual" Forex traders here who are interested in a older Gentle mans successful trading style. I would be happy to share my years in order to help others become more profitable.

I've not tried it, but I don't think a "scanner" wouldn't be too difficult to code. Obviuosly, you could just dump the EA onto all pairs and let it run... or, I would've thought it not too hard to create a loop to assign a symbol text to a var from a full list of pairs and then run the ea replacing the symbol element with the looped string. Timescale dependent, but perhaps drop it on EURUSD 15 min chart and run it at new bar. Loop a different magic with symbol table and then send order or just fire alert. Sounds an interesting challenge. I might have a crack at that for fun!
