Vectron is an automated scalping robot for the US30 (Dow Jones) index. It waits for short-term setups that match the market direction, enters with pending orders, and protects every trade with a real stop loss placed at entry. No grid, no martingale, no averaging, and at most 3 trades a day.
This guide covers everything from installation to going live: license activation, every setting explained, backtesting, checking your US30 contract, broker choice, VPS setup and troubleshooting.

How Vectron Trades
On a US30 quote with 2 decimals (e.g. 53,232.34), Vectron's 100 pips/points = 1 index point. With the default settings, a buy trade goes through four stages:
- The pending order fills and the stop loss is placed at entry: -50 US30 points.
- From +60 points, trailing begins.
- The stop follows 20 points behind price.
- The trade is trailed out in profit. Maximum take profit: +250 points.
Many winners exit at the trailing stop well before the full take profit; losers exit at the stop loss.
| At 0.01 lot (1 lot = $1 / US30 point) | Result |
| Stop loss hit | ≈ -$0.50 |
| Trailing starts | ≈ +$0.60 in profit |
| Full take profit | ≈ +$2.50 |
Why a 45% win rate can be profitable: losers are capped at the stop; winners are allowed to run and trail. On the live account Vectron wins about 45% of trades with a profit factor of 1.25, because the average winner is bigger than the average loser. Expect runs of several losses in a row.
Protection layers:
- Every trade: real stop loss set at entry
- Per day: max 3 trades, no over-trading
- Daily: trading stops at -5% (Max Daily Loss)
- Every entry: spread check, max 2.5 points
Installation
- In MetaTrader, click File › Open Data Folder.
- Open the MQL4 folder (on MT5: MQL5), then Experts.
- Paste the Vectron file (.ex4 or .ex5) into Experts. If you received a .zip, extract it first.
- In the Navigator (Ctrl+N), right-click Expert Advisors › Refresh.
- Open Tools › Options (Ctrl+O) › Expert Advisors. Tick Allow automated trading and Allow WebRequest for listed URL, then add https : // xaubot . com (remove spaces).
- Open one US30 chart on M5 (your broker may call it DJ30, WS30, US30.cash, DJI30 or USA30). Use the cash / spot index, not a dated future.
- Double-click Vectron in the Navigator. In the Common tab, tick Allow live trading.
Bought on the MQL5 Market? Log in under Tools › Options › Community, open Terminal › Market › Purchased, click Install, then continue from step 6.
The #1 cause of license problems: if the URL is missing or mistyped (http instead of https, an extra space, a slash at the end), the robot cannot verify your key and will not trade. Copy it exactly: https : // xaubot . com (remove spaces)
Only one US30 chart. Never attach Vectron to two charts, and never run it on two terminals for the same account.
License Activation
Vectron only trades on account numbers registered to your license. After purchase, open a private chat with XAUBOT on MQL5 and send your broker, platform (MT4 / MT5), account number(s) and account type (live / demo). Replace the "-" in XAUBOT License Key on the Inputs tab with your key, with no spaces before or after. Click Save to store a .set file for next time.

Going Live and the Dashboard
Click OK and check that the AutoTrading button is green and a smiling face shows in the chart's top-right corner. The XAUBOT dashboard then shows:
- Status line: must say Live. "Invalid License Key" = key missing or wrong, account not registered or the XAUBOT URL not in the WebRequest list.
- Today: trades, win rate, profit and max drawdown
- Settings summary: market, strategy, news filter, GMT offset, leverage and Trading TF (must read 5 Minutes)
- Symbol row: lot, direction (WAIT = no setup), spread now / max, P&L and Cool Down
- AI view: XAUBOT's AI read of US30 and its trend
No trade yet? That is normal. Vectron is selective and trades at most 3 times a day. It skips wide spreads, news windows and quiet sessions.
Backtesting
- Open the Strategy Tester (Ctrl+R) and select Vectron.
- Choose your broker's US30 symbol and the M5 period.
- Model: Every tick on MT4, or Every tick based on real ticks on MT5.
- Set a realistic spread (100–200 points), at least 1 year of data and an initial deposit of $100+.
- Press Start, then check the Graph and Report tabs.
How to judge a scalper's backtest: look for a steady staircase, low equity drawdown and a profit factor above 1 with a realistic spread. Use your broker's typical US30 spread, not the lowest possible.
Live Track Record
Vectron runs on a real Tickmill account (MT5, 1:400, started with $100 at 0.01 lot), tracked by an MQL5 signal and a Myfxbook account with track record and trading privileges verified.
- MQL5 Signal: https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/2379892
- Myfxbook: https://www. myfxbook. com/members/XAUBOTAI/vectron-xaubot/12093481 (remove spaces)
Check Your US30 Contract
Index CFDs are not standardised. "0.01 lot of US30" is worth very different amounts at different brokers, and Vectron's lot sizes and the dashboard assume 1 lot = $1 per index point.
| Contract | At 0.01 lot | Result |
| 1 lot = $1 / point (like the live account) | $0.01 per US30 point | Settings work as designed |
| 1 lot = $10 / point (larger contract) | $0.10 per US30 point | Same settings = 10× the risk |
How to check it in 30 seconds: in Market Watch, right-click US30 › Specification. Contract size 1 and 2 digits = as designed.
Different contract or digits? Ask before trading. Send us the Specification screenshot in private chat, and we will tell you the lot size and settings that match the design.
Broker Requirements
- Low US30 spread, typically 1–2 index points (well below the 2.5-point limit)
- Low slippage and stable execution around the US open and news
- Leverage 1:50+ (1:100+ gives comfortable margin)
- Hedging account
- Right contract: 1 lot = $1 per point, 2 digits
- Pending orders allowed
Retail clients of some regulators (for example EU, UK, Australia) are limited to lower leverage on indices, often 1:20. Vectron needs at least 1:50, so check before funding.
VPS
Trailing and pending orders are managed by the robot itself. If MetaTrader is closed, nothing manages them. A VPS keeps Vectron running 24/5.
| Option | Best for | Cost |
| Windows Forex VPS | Full control; see the dashboard and news panel | ~$15–40 / month |
| MQL5 built-in VPS | Simplest setup, no remote desktop needed | $15 / month |
| Free broker VPS | Clients who meet the broker's conditions | Free if eligible |
Recommended: Windows Server, 2 vCPU, 2–4 GB RAM, SSD, in the same city as your broker's server. Put the MetaTrader shortcut in shell:startup so it restarts automatically.
Never "Shut down" or "Sign out" inside the VPS. Close the remote window with the X. Never run Vectron on your PC and the VPS at the same time.
Troubleshooting
| You see | Fix |
| "Invalid License Key" on the dashboard | Add https : // xaubot . com (remove spaces) exactly, re-paste the key, send your exact account number in private chat. |
| Symbol row shows "Label" | License not active yet. The row fills in once it reads Live. |
| Sad face on the chart | Turn AutoTrading on. F7 › Common › Allow live trading. |
| Running, but no trades | Usually normal: 3 trades already today, spread, news window or daily limit. Check the dashboard and Experts log. |
| Profit / loss per trade 10× bigger than expected | Your US30 contract is larger. Check the Specification and contact support. |
| Several losses in a row | Normal for a strategy that wins ~45% with larger winners. Judge over 50+ trades. |
| Trades doubled | One US30 chart on one terminal only. |
