One instant decides the cycle
In every grid cycle there is one moment that shapes everything that follows: the entry. A classic grid opens on every step. Crux puts a machine learning model in front of every step.
The model is a gradient boosting classifier: 400 decision trees and more than 12,000 nodes, compiled directly into the EA as constant arrays. No DLL, no external connection, no file to download. It reads 15 measures of price context on horizons from one day to three months: how far price has moved, where it sits in its channel, the slope of its equilibrium, the ratio between recent and usual volatility. No clock, no calendar, only the structure of price.
Every trigger receives a score. Only those above the threshold go through.
After the entry: the basket is worked from the inside
Once Crux is in, a recovery engine of ten modules takes over.
- Geometric expansion. Every new level is born farther than the one before, so the structure opens up exactly where the move accelerates.
- Mass profile. The lot follows a phased profile, calibrated level by level, against a hard cap.
- Pair solver. New positions pay off the first ones, one piece at a time. It works in whole units of the base lot, so the engine behaves the same on 1,000 and on 100,000 USD.
- Decay curve. The target is full on a short basket and moves toward break-even as the basket grows.
- Pump and drain. On deep baskets the farthest position is cashed in on every useful bounce and placed again at the same level. The basket produces cash while it works.
- Shock guard and regime filter. When AUDCAD moves far beyond its normal day, or volatility leaves its usual range, Crux stops adding levels and waits for the pace to return.
- Continuity core. Cycle state written to disk and rebuilt from the real positions after every restart.

The profit factor stays between 4.51 and 4.66 from the quietest mode to the fastest. Position size cannot change a profit factor: that quality belongs to the engine, not to the leverage.
