How to Get the Most Out of Jet PRO for MT5
Jet PRO gives you clear signals, ready-made trade levels and a live view of several markets. These practices will help you take better trades and avoid the weak ones.
1. Start with the right setup
- Keep “Signals on candle close” switched on. Every signal is then confirmed when the candle closes and stays on the chart. What you see is what you can actually trade.
- Load enough history. Jet PRO processes the last 500 candles by default, and the chart and the scanner use the same depth. Scroll back once on each new symbol so MT5 downloads its candles.
- Use your broker’s exact symbol names in the scanner, including suffixes such as EURUSD.m or XAUUSD.r.
- Set your risk percent before the first trade. The risk row then shows the correct lot size for every signal.
- Place the HUD where it hides the least price action. You can put it in any of the four corners. Pick a theme you can read at a glance: click the JET PRO title to switch themes live.
2. Pick the flight mode that fits your style
You can switch modes at any time on the HUD or with keys 1–4.
- AFTERBURNER (key 1): the most signals. For active scalpers on M5–M15 who filter carefully.
- INTERCEPT (key 2): high frequency. Fast intraday trading on M5–M30.
- CRUISE (key 3): balanced. The best all-round choice for day trading on M15–H1.
- STEALTH (key 4): the fewest, cleanest signals. For patient traders on H1–H4.
More signals doesn’t mean more profit. The faster the mode, the more you should rely on the filters. Try each mode on your favourite pairs before settling on one.
3. Trade with the bigger picture: multi-timeframe analysis
Most bad trades go against the higher-timeframe trend. Jet PRO has two tools for working top-down.
The HTF trend filter
- Switch on “Higher-timeframe trend filter”. Jet PRO will then only show signals in the direction of the higher-timeframe trend. The trend is read from the higher timeframe’s close compared with its EMA (H4 and EMA 50 by default).
- Choose a filter timeframe 4–6 times higher than the chart you trade.
The scanner timeframe
- The scanner can run on your chart’s timeframe or on any other timeframe you choose.
- Set it to one level above your trading chart, so it shows you which markets have a signal on the bigger timeframe. Then look for your entry on the lower one.
Also check the trend reading in the HUD’s market row. It shows whether price is above or below the 200 EMA on your chart. The strongest setups are those where the HTF filter, the market row trend and the signal all point the same way.
4. Use the filters as your quality control
- Session filter: only allows signals that form inside your chosen hours, in server time. For most majors, London and New York hours (around 07:00–20:00) are the most reliable. Quiet hours produce more false moves.
- Spread guard: holds back new-signal alerts while the spread is above your limit. It’s useful around rollover and news.
- Filter row on the HUD: shows at a glance which filters are active.
5. Manage the trade with the levels and zones
Every signal comes with an entry, a stop loss and five take-profit levels, TP1 to TP5. They sit at 1R to 5R, where R is the distance from entry to stop. The stop loss includes an ATR-based buffer, which you can adjust.
- Take partial profit at TP1 or TP2 and move your stop to break-even. This turns many trades into risk-free trades.
- Let a runner go to TP3–TP5 when the higher-timeframe trend supports the move.
- Use the shaded zones. The red zone is what you risk. The green bands are your targets, fading out toward TP5. If the targets run straight into a major level, consider taking profit earlier.
- Respect the SL warning. Jet PRO counts consecutive closes beyond the stop and invalidates the signal after 3 by default. Don’t hold a trade the indicator has already given up on.
- Turn on trade alerts. You’ll be told when the signal reaches TP1–TP5 or gets an SL warning, without watching the chart all day.
- Old signals retire automatically after 150 closed candles, so the chart always shows a current setup.
6. Size every trade with the risk row
The risk row shows the money at risk and the lot size, based on your risk percent and the signal’s stop distance. Use it every time:
- Risk 0.5–1% per trade while you learn the indicator, and no more than 2% later.
- A wider stop means a smaller lot, so the money at risk stays the same on every trade.
- Never increase your lot size to win back a loss.
The live row also shows the open signal’s P/L and a countdown to the next candle. It’s handy for timing your checks.
7. Let the scanner work for you
- Scan 5–10 symbols you know well rather than everything. Fewer markets, better decisions.
- Mix symbols that behave differently, such as a major, a JPY cross and gold, so there’s usually something moving.
- Click a scanner row to switch the chart to that market, or set it to open a new chart with your saved Jet PRO template.
- Switch on scanner alerts and push notifications so the MT5 mobile app tells you when a new signal appears on any symbol in your list.
8. Common mistakes to avoid
- Taking every signal with the HTF filter switched off.
- Trading right before or during high-impact news.
- Using AFTERBURNER on H4, or STEALTH on M1.
- Moving the stop loss further away when price goes against you.
- Changing settings after every losing trade. Give one setup at least 30–50 trades before judging it.
- Ignoring the spread in the market row: a good signal with a bad spread is a bad trade.
9. Your pre-trade checklist
- The HTF filter and the market row trend agree with the signal
- It’s an active session, with no major news in the next 30 minutes
- The spread is normal
- The lot size is taken from the risk row
- You have a plan: where you take partial profit, where you move to break-even, where you exit
