The Strategy Logic: Exploiting Short-Term Inefficiencies
1. Identifying the Regime (The Trend) The algorithm doesn't use indicators as magic entry signals. It uses a dual Moving Average system (Fast and Slow) purely as a directional compass. Before executing any logic, the system determines who is currently in control of the market—buyers or sellers. The EA never tries to play the hero by catching falling knives; it only aligns itself with the dominant order flow.
2. Finding the "Value Zones" (Support & Resistance) Prices don't reverse randomly. The EA scans the last 20 periods to identify structural floors and ceilings where the price has previously reacted. These are the exact zones where retail traders typically place their stop-loss orders and where liquidity pools build up.
3. The Trigger (Exploiting Liquidity Exhaustion) This is where the actual inefficiency lies. The EA waits for the price to reach these value zones and looks for extreme exhaustion patterns: Pin Bars, Engulfing candles, or Inside Bar breakouts. In real-world terms, these price action patterns mean that a group of emotional traders tried to force a breakout, exhausted their capital, and were aggressively absorbed by larger institutional players. The EA enters the market exactly when these trapped traders are forced to liquidate their losing positions, riding the momentum of their stop-losses.
4. Survival and Capital Preservation (Strict Trade Management) A strategy is only as good as its risk management. This EA operates like a disciplined business:
-
Strict Sizing: It risks a maximum of 1.5% per trade.
-
The Daily Hard Stop: If the system hits a 3% loss in a single session, a hard cut-off is triggered. The EA completely shuts down trading for the rest of the day, mechanically preventing over-trading and revenge trading.
-
Profit Protection: Once the market moves in our favor and the short-term inefficiency is captured, the EA automatically moves the Stop Loss to Breakeven and deploys a Trailing Stop, letting the winner run risk-free.
