YOLO is a semi-automated martingale grid recovery Expert Advisor designed for XAUUSD and all major currency pairs. The EA combines manual trend decision with fully automated order management. Each day you choose the trading direction by clicking BuyOn or SellOn. Once activated, YOLO opens the initial position and manages the entire grid recovery process automatically including lot scaling, take profit, and breakeven protection. If you prefer full automation, YOLO can also run in fully automatic mode using built-in trend detection.
How It Works
There are 3 ways to start trading:
- Click the BuyOn or SellOn button on the chart. The EA will trade that direction automatically until the next daily market open, then reset and wait for your decision again.
- Open a 0.01 lot position manually from your mobile terminal. YOLO detects the position and manages the grid recovery, take profit and breakeven automatically.
- Click the Buy or Sell button on the chart panel to open an immediate market order.
Grid Recovery
When price moves against your position, YOLO adds grid orders at fixed intervals with increasing lot sizes controlled by the kLot multiplier. All positions in one direction share a common weighted average price. When price returns to the average price plus the TakeProfit distance, all positions close together for a net profit. The PSTRMode (Prevent Sudden Trend Reverse) feature automatically widens grid spacing at higher levels to slow down lot accumulation during extended adverse moves.
Daily Direction Control
By default, YOLO resets the BuyOn and SellOn buttons to off at midnight each trading day. This means you actively decide each morning whether to trade and in which direction. This daily voting system protects your account from running unattended in the wrong direction. Set DailyDefault to false if you prefer continuous automatic operation without daily resets.
Risk Management
- Account drawdown stoploss: automatically closes all positions if account drawdown exceeds a set percentage
- Daily profit target: stops opening new trades after reaching the daily profit goal
- Margin level control: prevents new grid orders when margin is too low
- Maximum orders limit: caps the total number of grid levels
- Two configurable trading sessions to avoid high-impact news hours
Chart Panel
Interactive buttons directly on the chart:
- Buy and Sell: open immediate market orders
- BuyOn and SellOn: toggle automatic trading direction (purple when active)
- CloseBuy, CloseSell, CloseAll: close positions with confirmation dialog
Compatible Symbols
Originally designed for XAUUSD but works on all major currency pairs. Each chart instance should use a different Magic Number. Do not run other EAs on the same account as YOLO manages all orders on the symbol, not only by Magic Number.

- Lot Size (default 0.01): base lot for the first order
- kLot (default 1.6): martingale lot multiplier per grid level
- TakeProfit (default 200): TP distance in points from average price
- Pipstep (default 200): grid spacing in points between orders
- MaxOrders (default 20): maximum grid levels per direction
- DailyProfit (default 500): daily profit target in account currency
- PSTRMode (default true): wider spacing at higher grid levels
- DailyDefault (default true): reset direction buttons at midnight
- Magic Number (default 12321): unique EA identifier
Recommendations
- Minimum deposit: $1,000 at 0.01 lot for XAUUSD
- Conservative: kLot 1.3, MaxOrders 8-10, pipstep 300-400
- Always enable account drawdown stoploss for protection
- VPS recommended for 24/5 operation
