GOLD GYRO – multi-engine Expert Advisor for XAUUSD

Gold Gyro is a fully automated Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD) built like a gyroscope: ten independent engines that pull in different directions, so the account stays stable when one of them is having a bad month.
- Breakout engines catch the big gold trends.
- Pullback engines buy dips inside the trend.
- Short engines make money when gold falls or moves sideways, and soften the months when breakouts struggle.
Every engine is sized according to its own historical stability. You only set one number: your risk.
HOW IT WORKS
------------
1. BR – H1 channel breakout (5 variants). Daily trend filter, volume/impulse filters, ATR stop, break-even and trailing stop.
2. SB – long-range breakout (4 variants). Breakouts of 2-week to 3-month highs and lows. Fixed take profit plus break-even and trailing.
3. FB – daily fractal breakout (4 variants). Buy and sell orders at the last confirmed daily fractal (one cancels the other).
4. REV1, REV2, REV3 – pullback (mean-reversion) buys. They buy dips with ATR-based stops, trailing stop and time exits.
5. V1, V2, V3, V4 – short engines. Sell setups for falling or sideways gold, with ATR stops, trailing stop and time exits.
Every trade has a stop loss. No grid, no martingale, no averaging down.
KEY FEATURES

REQUIREMENTS
------------
- Symbol: XAUUSD (gold). Symbol suffixes are fine (XAUUSD.m, GOLD, etc.).
- Account type: HEDGING (buy and sell engines can be open at the same time).
- Recommended balance: 5,000 USD or more with Risk = 1%. With smaller balances the minimum lot (0.01) makes the real risk higher than the setting (see "Small accounts" below).
- A VPS is recommended so the EA runs 24/5.
INSTALLATION (3 steps)
----------------------
1. Open one XAUUSD chart (any timeframe; H1 recommended) and attach Gold Gyro.
2. In the Inputs tab set:
- Risk mode and Risk (default: 1% of balance per base unit).
- Broker server GMT offset in winter / in summer (most MT5 brokers use 2 / 3).
3. Enable Algo Trading. The panel appears in the top-left corner.
Use only ONE instance per account and symbol. If you need two, give each a different Base magic number.
MAIN INPUTS

1. RISK MANAGEMENT
- Risk mode: % of balance / fixed money / fixed lot.
- Risk: base risk. Each engine risks Risk x its weight (weights are pre-set; leave them as they are).
Example with 10,000 USD and Risk = 1%: each BR trade risks about 21 USD, each SB trade 47 USD, each REV2 trade 85 USD.
- Lot size when Risk mode = Fixed lot.
- Maximum lot per trade (safety cap, default 5).
- If calculated lot < minimum lot: true = skip the trade, false = use the minimum lot.
- Weights of each engine (advanced: change only if you know what you are doing).
2. PROTECTION
- Max daily loss % (0 = off): if the account equity falls this % below the day's starting balance, the EA stops opening trades until the next day.
- On daily limit: close this EA's positions (true/false).
- Max spread in price (0.60 = 60 cents).
3. BROKER SERVER TIME
- GMT offsets of your broker in winter and in summer. You can see the server time in Market Watch.
4. ACTIVE ENGINES
- Switch each engine on or off. All on is the tested configuration.
5. PANEL
- Show panel, this EA only or the whole account, position and font size.
6. IDENTIFICATION
- Base magic number (the EA uses base+1 to base+54).
ADVANCED groups contain the internal parameters of each engine. Leave them at their defaults.
BACKTEST RESULTS (MetaTrader 5 strategy tester, default settings, Risk 1%)

Darwinex data, 100,000 USD, commissions included:
- Jan 2018 – Oct 2026: profit factor 1.57, 11,399 trades, maximum relative drawdown 18.9%, every calendar year positive.
- Last 2 years with 100% real ticks: profit factor 1.50, maximum relative drawdown 15.0%, 22 of 25 months positive.
Axi data, 10,000 USD:
- 2018 – Oct 2026: profit factor 1.70, 10,273 trades, maximum relative drawdown 21.7%.
- Last 2 years with 100% real ticks: profit factor 1.60, maximum relative drawdown 13.8%, 23 of 25 months positive.
Results use compounding (risk as % of balance). Large percentage gains in the tests come from compounding during a strong gold market and should not be taken as a forecast.
SMALL ACCOUNTS
--------------
With balances below about 5,000 USD many trades are opened at the minimum lot (0.01), so the real risk is higher than the Risk setting. Options:
- Use Fixed lot = 0.01 and accept the higher risk, or
- Set "If calculated lot < minimum lot" = true (the EA will skip trades that would exceed your risk; with very small accounts it will trade very little).
TIPS
----
- Test first on a demo account for a few weeks.
- Do not run other EAs with the same magic numbers on the same account.
- For prop-firm accounts, set the daily loss limit a little below the firm's limit (e.g. 4% if the firm allows 5%).
