Ghost Rider Trend EA is an automated XAUUSD trading system built around trend filtering, virtual recovery and selective real-trade execution.

The EA is designed to follow the prevailing market direction while using a virtual recovery structure to manage potential entries without immediately placing every recovery step as a live trade.

This gives traders control over how frequently virtual recovery events are converted into real market positions.

TREND-BASED TRADING

Ghost Rider Trend EA uses a dedicated trend engine to determine the permitted trading direction.

When the trend is bullish, the EA focuses on buy cycles.

When the trend is bearish, the EA focuses on sell cycles.

The EA is designed to avoid opening new cycles against the detected trend.

An optional EMA filter can also be used to provide additional directional confirmation.

Trend settings include:

  • Configurable trend timeframe

  • Configurable EMA period

  • Optional EMA filter

VIRTUAL RECOVERY SYSTEM

One of the key features of Ghost Rider Trend EA is its virtual recovery architecture.

Instead of placing every recovery entry directly into the market, the EA can create virtual recovery trades as price moves through the recovery sequence.

These virtual trades are used to track the recovery structure.

The trader can then decide how frequently a virtual trade is converted into a real market position.

the EA can use the configured fifth virtual recovery event as the trigger for real-trade execution.

BASKET MANAGEMENT

Ghost Rider Trend EA manages virtual and real baskets separately.

The EA provides configurable:

  • Virtual basket take profit

  • Real basket take profit

  • Recovery distance

  • Maximum recovery events

  • Real-trade execution frequency

  • Currency-based basket profit target

This allows the trader to determine how the recovery structure and live market exposure are managed.

ATR VOLATILITY FILTER

The EA includes an ATR-based volatility filter designed to prevent new cycles from being started when market volatility exceeds the configured threshold.

Default configuration:

ATR Period: 14
ATR Timeframe: M15
Maximum ATR for New Cycle: 12

The ATR protection can also be configured to close an existing virtual cycle when the volatility threshold is reached, depending on the selected settings.

SESSION FILTER

Ghost Rider Trend EA includes a configurable trading-session filter.

The trader can specify the hours during which new trading cycles are permitted.

For example:

07:00 – 22:00

The session filter controls the opening of new cycles while existing positions can continue to be managed by the EA's basket-management logic.

Session times are based on the brokers time on the chart.

ECONOMIC NEWS FILTER

The EA includes a USA economic-news filter designed to restrict new trading cycles around important economic events.

The filter supports configurable:

  • High-impact news

  • Medium-impact news

  • Minutes before news

  • Minutes after news

Historical news data can also be used for backtesting.

SPREAD PROTECTION

Ghost Rider Trend EA includes a maximum-spread filter.

When the current spread exceeds the configured maximum, the EA can prevent new entries until market conditions return within the permitted range.

PROFIT PROTECTION

The EA includes configurable profit-management features such as:

  • Basket profit target

  • Daily profit lock

  • Monthly profit lock

  • Optional equity protection

These features allow the trader to define additional limits around the EA's operation.

CHART VISUALISATION
