Momentum Master Gold
Momentum Master Gold (MMG) is an automated Expert Advisor designed primarily for Gold trading with configurable strategy, risk, protection and market filters.
The EA combines automated entry logic with several operating profiles so that users can test and select a setup that suits their broker and trading environment.
Interactive On-Chart GUI
MMG includes an interactive on-chart control interface that makes the EA easier to monitor and operate while it is running. Important status information and supported controls can be viewed from the chart without relying only on the Expert Advisor input window.
This gives the user a more direct way to follow the EA's operating state and manage supported functions during use.
Trading Controls
MMG allows you to choose how the EA will be used through the Operation Mode setting:
- Demo / Live Account — for normal operation on a demo or live trading account.
- Strategy Tester / Backtest — for testing MMG in the MetaTrader Strategy Tester using historical market data.
Note: If you downloaded the demo version, change Operation Mode to Strategy Tester / Backtest before running MMG in the MetaTrader Strategy Tester.
Select the mode that matches how you are using the EA before starting.
MMG provides automatic risk-based lot sizing or a fixed manual lot size, allowing you to choose the position-sizing method that suits your setup.
The user can select trade direction, strategy mode and confirmation settings while each MMG chart remains separated by its own Magic Number.
Optimization Profiles
MMG includes four operating profiles:
- Legacy — keeps the original MMG behaviour.
- Gold Balanced — intended for Gold with moderate filtering.
- Gold Prop — applies stricter Gold filtering and additional controls.
- Universal — provides a more general profile for users who want to test MMG on other symbols.
Profit and Loss Streak Modes
The available profiles can be combined with three streak behaviours:
- One Recovery
- Daily Pause
- Continuous
These modes give the user different ways to control how the EA continues after profit or loss sequences.
Risk and Protection
MMG includes configurable controls such as:
- Target Profit
- Maximum Loss
- Emergency Stop Loss
- Spread Guard
- Daily Equity Guard
- Maximum Trades per Day
Available controls may depend on the selected operating profile.
Trading Filters
Trading Hours can restrict new entries to the selected operating period.
The High-Impact News filter can pause new entries before and after detected events according to the configured time window.
Spread and volatility conditions are also considered by the relevant optimization profiles.
Gold and Other Symbols
MMG is primarily tuned for Gold.
Users who want to explore another symbol can backtest the Universal profile using the broker, symbol and conditions they intend to trade.
A setup that behaves well with one broker may produce different results with another because spread, tick data, symbol specification, leverage and execution conditions can differ.
Profile Flexibility
Another strength of MMG is the combination of multiple operating profiles, streak modes and risk controls. This allows the same EA to be tested under different trading approaches without requiring a separate Expert Advisor for each setup.
Before Live Trading
Backtesting is useful for comparing MMG profiles and settings before live use.
Test the intended configuration with the broker and trading environment you plan to use, and choose a lot size and risk level suitable for your account.
MMG combines automated trading with configurable profiles, filters and risk controls that can be adjusted for different trading environments.
