Automated Expert Advisor for Gold (XAUUSD), with USD-based risk management, news filter, volatility filter, and a visual statistics panel.

Smart GOLD Breckout is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, developed to automatically trade the XAUUSD (Gold) pair, with support for other assets as well through a generic calculation mode based on price percentage. The robot handles opening and closing trades on its own, applying protection filters and automatic adjustments according to the settings chosen by the user.

What the robot does

  • Opens and manages buy and sell trades automatically on the configured symbol
  • Automatically detects the Gold symbol available at the broker (XAU/GOLD)
  • Applies Stop Loss and Take Profit as a fixed value (USD) for Gold, or as a percentage of price for other assets
  • Automatically moves the Stop Loss over time (time-based trailing), at configurable intervals
  • Blocks new entries during high-impact economic news, using MetaTrader 5's native economic calendar
  • Blocks new entries when market volatility (ATR) is below a configurable minimum
  • Allows limiting to only one open trade at a time, per operating logic
  • Automatically validates trading specifications (volume, tick) before sending any order
  • Draws reference lines on the chart
  • Displays an optional visual panel with real-time statistics (position, result, broker, among others)
  • Automatically customizes chart colors and display on startup
  • Allows enabling or disabling a custom background image on the chart
  • Compatible with both Hedge and Netting accounts on MetaTrader 5

Main input parameters

General: fixed lot size, magic number, enable/disable terminal logs

Stop Loss / Take Profit: enable/disable, value in USD for Gold or percent for other assets

News Filter: enable/disable, minimum event importance, blocking minutes before and after the news, monitored currency (automatic or manual detection)

Volatility Filter: enable/disable ATR filter, ATR period, minimum ATR value in points

Time-Based Trailing: enable/disable, interval in minutes, Stop Loss movement in points per interval

Visual: show lines on chart, show statistics panel, show custom background image
