Goldcrest Indicator MT4 — Free BUY, SELL and Initial SL Levels

Goldcrest Indicator MT4 is a free, standalone MetaTrader 4 indicator that marks qualifying BUY and SELL signals with their entry prices and initial stop-loss (SL) reference levels. It brings Goldcrest's multi-timeframe structural signal framework to a clean, easy-to-read MT4 chart, without executing trades.

Key Features

Live entry signals: clear BUY and SELL chart labels with the observed broker Ask price for BUY and Bid price for SELL.
Initial stop-loss levels: each qualifying live BUY/SELL signal includes the original E7 profile-based SL price. A separate orange SL marker and short dotted horizontal segment show that initial level. This is a chart reference, not a stop order or automated management.
Historical chart context: subdued HIST~ BUY and HIST~ SELL labels, with gray SL~ estimates, reconstructed from available completed broker candles as you explore prior chart history. Historical entry and SL prices are estimates, not verified historical executions.
Viewport-based history: reconstructs and displays signals for the chart area you are viewing without an arbitrary lifetime signal-count limit. Actual depth depends on the broker's available history.
Simple controls: optional alerts (off by default), customizable BUY/SELL and SL colors, initial SL display enabled by default, and local persistence of genuinely observed signal events.

Recommended Setup

Open XAUUSD on the M1 timeframe, the researched Goldcrest reference configuration. The indicator uses additional M15, H1, H4 and D1 broker candles for multi-timeframe context. On initial attachment, allow historical reconstruction to finish; a status label displays its progress. When broker history has gaps, available periods are retained and the chart reports limited historical coverage rather than inventing missing prices.

Signal Display, Not Automated Trading

Goldcrest Indicator MT4 is different from the paid Goldcrest Expert Advisor. It displays an informational initial SL but does not place, change, trail or manage broker stop orders or take-profit orders, open or close positions, calculate lot sizes or display account profit and loss. The initial SL is not automatically updated for break-even or trailing movement. Signal labels are not guaranteed fills or forecasts. Historical candle-based estimates can differ from actual tick-driven entry signals and from the MT5 indicator because brokers and platforms provide different price and spread histories.
