OVERVIEW
Round Level Momentum EA is an automated trading system designed to identify momentum moves around predefined psychological price levels.
The EA uses price action and round-number levels to place breakout orders. It does not require technical indicators.
STRATEGY LOGIC
Long setup:
- Price moves upward through the 50 level.
- A Buy Stop order is placed at the 80 level.
- Initial stop-loss: 20 pips.
- First target: 20 pips.
- At the first target, the EA closes 50% of the position and moves the stop-loss to breakeven.
- Final target: 40 pips from entry.
Short setup:
- Price moves downward through the 50 level.
- A Sell Stop order is placed at the 20 level.
- Initial stop-loss: 20 pips.
- First target: 20 pips.
- At the first target, the EA closes 50% of the position and moves the stop-loss to breakeven.
- Final target: 40 pips from entry.
TRADING SESSION
The default trading session is 09:00–17:00 GMT. Adjust the time settings to match the strategy and broker environment.
DEFAULT SETTINGS
- Signal timeframe: M30
- Stop-loss: 20 pips
- First take-profit: 20 pips
- Final take-profit: 40 pips
- Partial close at first target: 50%
- Default position size: 0.10 lots
- Optional percentage-risk position sizing
- Long and short trading controls
- Spread and execution-deviation controls
POSITION SIZING AND RISK
Fixed-lot sizing is enabled by default. Percentage-risk sizing is available as an option.
Trading involves risk. Stop-loss orders do not guarantee execution at the requested price during gaps or fast markets. Actual results may vary because of spread, commission, slippage, liquidity, and broker execution.
SYMBOLS AND TIMEFRAME
The default signal timeframe is M30. The EA may require adjustment of the pip-size input for the selected instrument. Verify the symbol's tick size, contract specifications, and trading conditions before use.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the EA in MetaTrader 5.
2. Attach it to a chart of the intended instrument.
3. Review the inputs, especially pip size, position sizing, session, and execution settings.
4. Enable Algo Trading and verify that the EA is operating as intended.
5. Test the EA in Strategy Tester before using it on a live account.
TESTING
